Where’s camp!
Mini bike track on the base of the hill near Turkey Claw!

31st to the 3rd i camp in hammer heights at AZ undertakers camp. Usually end up around winch mob. If i run across yall ill say yo, but its absolute chaos at that point in the week. Have fun dudes

Once you drive through the main entrance, you go up three or four rows up and turn left, there is a berm track at the base of the hills before the turkey claw entrance of the trail.

I spoke with @SteveG about getting a frequency set up. I guess we need to register it for a location and with the this website? http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls

Obviously I'm no HAM radio dude. But something new to learn. We'll be looking into this in the future.

With that said we'll be keeping this thread updated. Maybe make the first post a sticky with the most current information like exact camp spot, Radio being used, and planned runs!
That sounds made up :p

Regarding frequencies, I always recommend using a common channel because it's most likely to be programmed in everyone's radio. Otherwise, everyone with a legal Business Band radio will need to have software and the correct cable to program their radio, or take it to someone to have it done. This is exactly why we use GMRS almost exclusively these days... no programming and anyone with a good or cheap WalMart radio can join in the conversation.....

For this event, I suggest keeping it simple and easy!

New to the forum and been listening to the podcasts. Looking for the date for the Baja designs BLGT night run… did a date get set for this yet?
Thanks

Didn’t read far enough ahead. I’ll be there 30-4th, we have our own camp, sounds like it’s roughly in the middle between your camp and ultra 3. We are usually just above the lake bed “shore side” not too far from turkey claw. Will have a few rigs hoping to join the Baja run on Wednesday. Is 4pm meet up still the goal. I assume your camp will be relatively easy to find.

so what does the $100. they are charging get someone? is that per person ?

is that just to walk around inside the vender area in hammer town?

the 40 is open and has no entrance fee. will have some food venders and drinks. he said just bring a positive attitude.

The forty is inside the gates, so you can’t get in unless you pay the $100.
The $100 seems like a lot but not when you think how long the event is.
Everything is expensive though. Tshirts are $30 each. Food is $13 for a burger.
It’s just an expensive thing to do.

Hopefully the higher prices get some of the UTV jabrones to stay home. I could go without them blindly cutting through trails without as much as a glance.

So looks like only one other person is going on the 25th. Should I pull a pismo move and just rope off 10 acres?!
