JUST SO I CAN HAVE THE LIST ON THE LAST/MOST RECENT PAGE TO LOOK AT.......

1. take the whole exhaust system off, since im probably going to have to have a full custom one made anyways........

2. hook the engine hoist up to the motor first and get the weight off it

3. snake the motor mounts off

4. jack up the trans off the mount, and get it on jack stands or something it can set on (which im pretty sure is gonna be a task of its own since the fucking trans and motor is touching the firewall pretty much everywhere it can)


5. CUT OFF THE RAD ARM/TRANS CROSSMEMBER MOUNTS

6. then ill pull the motor trans forward enough to get me some room between the engine/trans and the firewall, and get it where it seems to be set and everything will clear. along with this, i need to get a new radiator and fans and figure out that whole mess. where its gonna go, what'll fit, where it'll fit

7. all of that while planning for the trans crossmember/radius arm/ and motor mounts

Ok, I need to to pull the motor forward to where i can build new motor & trans mounts.

So, I need to unhook all of the wiring to the gauges/firewall. That should be either at the firewall or right on the part.

Pull the headers off because I'm almost positive I'm going to have to have a full exhaust system built, 1 off.

Unbolt the trans/cut all the trans mounts/radius arm mounts off

Then, figure out where I'm going to set/plant the motor for good, then I can start building mounts for it.

And then and then and then.
 
Question:


I want to do the BASE part of the engine cage ONCE and not look back.
If I do that.... im looking at it and noticing that I need to get rid of the brake booster monstrosity......

When doing that, I can remove it, then after I get everything back together, just hook a master up (I know it prolly won't just "bolt right in" but in a general sense) and build a brake pedal mount configuration thingy then it'll still brake, right?

For now I just have an 8.8 in the back on drums. So it'll be hard as fuck, till I get a 9" and disc's in the back, right?

Just trying to plan shit out.....

just left up to me.......... id just unbolt shit and clean and paint shit, then put it back together. even then it prolly wouldn't run right.... hah
i dont know what to do/what i need to do/what i can do/ anythinggggggggggggggggg with the mechanical side of shit.
papa won't be able to help me, at all for the next 2 weeks. so his help is out the window..................

ill snap some pictures of the wife's setup later with the master cylinder relocation bracket or you can hit up Kyle powers. he has his booster and setup behind his dash/radio area. really trick.

Is a hydroboost something you would interested in doing?

I was kinda in the same boat with working around the break booster and MC.
I know very little about the hydro boost set up other than it runs off the PS pump and you can remote mount…. Things 😅 lol

Your guess is as good as mine 🤷

Alls I heard is some magic is installed and you don’t need a vacuum deal. The weight savings make your truck faster, more fuel efficient and adds like 3” of suspension travel. Add all that up and….. babes start throwing their underwear at the truck…

Then you have to upgrade your windshield wipers so you can see through all the zebra print…. 🤷

I donno bro…

Give it a shot and report back.
