Truck worked great in the dirt. It’s fucking dialed in the whoops, gayzer chop, rocks, has ample power and phenomenal brakes.

Then we found a cracked AN-4 Tee for the oil pressure fitting, so @GahnRacing made quick work of that. Not too long after that, the truck started getting hot, and we added water every 30 miles on way home.

Upon arriving home, I drove around with the hood off and found where the coolant was going—out the reservoir—fuck. Coolant smelled like exhaust. Later that day I checked the oil and there was a new development! Water in the fucking oil!

So I pulled the motor out today.

Any updates on the truck since the blown engine?
New:
Head
Forged 0.010” over pistons
Changed back to factory turbo block
New slightly safer tune(on the dyno)
Bigger radiator(triple pass now, was single)
Bigger intercooler(50% more frontal area, 100% more volume)
Smaller oil cooler(to facilitate larger intercooler)
1.25” spherical bearings in uprights & arms
7/8” heims for outer tierod pivots
3/16” 4130 upper arm pivot tab gussets
Welded more gussets on my uprights to slow the cracking that has plagued them since their inception.

Here are the upright gussets(and some cracks I cut out and mig blasted)
