and finally pulled some masking off and got it back in garage on Sun night. Got it in tent Friday night, taped it off rest of way in morning and painted till like almost 7? Basically a 12-13 hour day on Sat. I was dead... and mask let through some shit for sure because I got sick feeling a few times.
Now I am in process of removing a bunch of tape and will start assembly today. So fucking close. 5 years and 3 months to get to this point, not that anyone is counting. HAHAH
1. i dont have the patients to mask and tape off everything like that. That sounds horrible.
2. i need to see a picture with fenders on.. lol I am sure you are excited to see it all done too.
I’ve been partial to all your builds in the past due to them being 4.0 5 speeds. They are all so clean, and the perfect representation of what I think a ranger prerunner should be…..
But this one is top tier, and I cannot wait to see it fully dressed.
^thanks! Here are some full size photos. It's crazy how different it can look depending on the device. My friends iphone looks way more turqoise than my Android. Looks more blue on my phone. In person the color will shift from blue to aqua.
what da fuq! Maybe one of these will work? And yea, the color is similar to the Ford color at the time. (Closest is probably cayman green metallic?)
I feel like this BMW color has more "flop" from blue to green. This color first came from BMW in 1997 or 1998 I think. On the 840's if I am not mistaken.
Not sure why.. but cant get either one from side to work:
All the photos are working for me until post #268. About half show up after that, half are a little red X.
Either way, truck looks great man! I agree with Bodj, looks very similar to the 90’s factory ford color.
absolutely NOT going to polish the wheels. I prefer the machined look actually ... but more importantly... there is no way in hell I would want polished wheels with these polymatrixA brake pads!! They make soooo much dust it's stupid.
Got this badass brake pedal pad from @SteveMostly .... He even sent me a 3D printed one so I could ensure which holes I wanted, etc. Thanks!!!
Now the pedal actually fits a normal sized foot.
