Britney 1995 F150 prelander

Truck looks awesome. I have the same truck and am going to go a similar build on it later this year.

I ditched the oil cooler thing on the motor and went with a larger 1515 Napa Gold oil filter and a simple bronco lower radiator hose. I did this because the oil cooler adapter hose thing was leaking and I didn't feel it was necessary since Bronco's never came with one.
Interesting. I thought all the 351w got them. I’ve been told the oil on small block fords run hot because of the size of the main bearings.

Some Bronco came with factory oil coolers.

Depending on what year your truck is and FEAD, you can get away with not using the dummy pulley as well.

Sounds like you need to find a new smog guy. My guy if it passes the sniffer and evap it's all good. Headers whatever that doesn't effect smog dgaf.
Yeah I haven’t tried but he checks everything he let me pass with a check engine light though but it only came on after it got hot

Bump.

We need an update Lance!

Are you still happy with the Holley setup?
Yes!! I’ve got about 4000 miles on the new setup.

Finished the swap, drove it around the block,
Drove it to work (100 miles round trip) monday
Oil change
Then took off for northern Oregon that Wednesday.

Flawless.

Then last month ran to Laughlin and did the Mojave road.

Last weekend about 40 miles in low range on Miller Jeep trail.

I think the sniper 2 must have some really good improvements because I have had zero RF problems.

Trying to get her to a tuner soon because I’m sure the base sniper tune could be improved.

Nice! That's good to hear. I've read some people weren't happy with the original.

Are you using the Holley distributor also? (I didn't see it)

And, Are you running a stock ford fuel pump?

This seems like the best option for dudes that don't want to swap but also want to simplify all the ford BS and keep the 351.

Nice job, Beautiful truck.

Yea I opted for the Holley HyperSpark distributor and ignition so I can control the timing through the same computer.

Fuel pump is basically stock. Stock type, maybe slightly higher GPM.

Don’t forget about the transmission controller though. It works great and is a cool upgrade but it’s another $1k

Really nice job Dude and thanks for the info.

Last question, What headers are you using and are you happy with them?

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting Lance's dad (Dave), you have missed out. Just 3 weeks ago we attended his 70th birthday party and the guy still rocks it! A few years ago I rode with him in his Raptor while we were pre-running one of the Calico runs which Point Mugu 4x4 was leading at Prospectors and it'd be an understatement to say the guy can drive! If you have ever wondered where Lance acquired his driving skills, the apple didn't fall far from the tree! Keith Mac
