1994 ford explorer!

You must have a better flare tool than I do. Stainless is tough stuff if I remember correctly.
Yeah you gotta have a good one. I really like the one from rigid. It works super well and the tooling on it isn’t too big so you can flare pretty close to bends.
The Eastwood one is awesome but the die that holds the tube is 1.5” or 1.75” long so you gotta make sure there’s no bends at least that far away from the end of the tube

We welcomed our new baby girl to the world last week so I had to take some time away from this pile but I got a bunch of shit done lastnight on it
Picked up the cookcraft explorer pack from atlas and tore it down.
Cycled the rear to make sure everything was a ok. The shocks bump out right when the axle hits the frame so that’s good. Gonna throw a bump stop on the frame so that the shocks never bottom out. I need a bump that stops the axle about an inch away from the frame for 2 reasons. 1 they go far negative arch and it’s a bit concerning.
2. 35s hit the top of the wheel well if I let the axle hit the frame 🥲
Looks like 14.5” of travel overall. Not sure where ride height will be so I don’t know what bump travel is yet.
I hope to do final assembly on this thing by Saturday and drive it about of the garage to turn it around and start on the front!

funny, just asked what travel these new family things are getting in Nick's thread. I feel like 14-15" of good tuned uasable travel would work fairly well

Comin out clean as hell Marcel, like uou usually do. Congrats on the girl!!

It does. Im 15” rear and 16.5” front and you can mash alot of shit at a comfortable speed yet still keep the shocks soft enough it doesnt beat the shit out of you

Finished up the back yesterday!
Replaced the junk center pins in the leafs with grade 8 bolts
Ride height is pretty tall right now. 10” of up travel. I’m hoping the springs settle
