Ugly Little Truck

I would hang it all on tube while you can. Easy to do if you buy a repop header panel and it will stay together without cracking for longer. the second version of my truck had that once the stock stuff tore itself up.

I have zero desire to tube mount everything - probably just going to do plate coilover mounts and a simple crossbrace.

I recommend not putting the battery back up front, it's a major contributing factor to the front aprons and core supports cracking and tearing, if you decide to throw a stock clip on it.

I have a a guy that parts out 84-95 yotas, and probably has everything located in SoCal if you want his number I can DM you

Battery is already mounted under the bed and will stay there.

Yeah please send me his info. Someone on FB marketplace that parts them out wanted $800 for the entire front end.

My core support fell apart after a yr of wheeling thats why I tubed it all out. Its a lot of work but saves time in the long run if you already have the whole front end ripped out

I don't know how long I'll realistically be keeping the truck. I'd like to have it a while, but I simply don't know if I'll need to sell. I feel it'll be an easier sell with a stock-ish looking engine bay. Stock versions of these trucks are listed all day long for $10k, and I think I'd have a better shot selling it in clean condition with as few dents as possible, a nice single stage paint job (done by me), as a 'cool lifted truck with some mods,' rather than a purpose built rock crawler.

I've got my reasons for building my vehicles the way I do, and it's been working out pretty good so far.
