Ugly Little Truck

I'm not sure there's a better way than to fire up the plasma and cut as close as you can before burning through a few flapdisks to make it clean. Of course yours will likely hang up on 10 rocks before my pile gets out of the garage, At least cut the ears flush with the tube.

Oh I'm aware. I just don't want to do it haha

Lol at you telling me to get to work, meanwhile you've got the f100 and sequoia collecting dust

Sequoia is my DD so only some parts are collecting dust on that one. The F100 is pending money and finish customers jobs in my shop before I can get back on that one. I got a full-time job again so can't be working on them whenever I want so progress is slowed on everything.

Headlights and grill installed. Had to 3D print some plastic clips since what was sent was too small. Stoked with how it all fit.

Built the intake yesterday. Stoked with how it turned out and fits. I was able to keep it tucked away and pretty well hidden, and it got rid of the plethora of pipes the oem system contains. Painted the stainless pipe flat black with some bbq paint so hopefully the smog guy doesn’t notice.

Flexed it out. Plenty of room between tire and the air box. Need to trim the fender a bit more though.

Shot some of that “new in a can”

I wanted to make sure I had enough paint for the bare metal. I’ll paint the firewall to clean it up

1. Mount fuse block
2. Clean up under hood wiring
3. Figure out intake tube
4. Make upper core support mounts off shock towers
5. Modify headlamp buckets to work
6. Mount ARB compressor for lockers

7. Build bumper with winch mount
8. Restore/install lights and wire them in
9. New ARB air line to front locker
10. New shifter bushings (already have them)
11. New clutch master and slave cylinders (already have them)

If it's already in your name just get a smog exemption every year. I did that the whole time I had my Tacoma in Cali.

Not in my name yet. It's non-op'd by the previous owner and I've been slacking getting it transferred in my name. I have to smog it for the initial transfer/to get it off non-op, but don't have to smog after unless I sell it.

Worse case remove hood and put stock intake on above towers to get it to smog. Then reinstall the good stuff you got there

I did that on a ranger years ago for a customers trucks after I did engine cage and it needed smog to register it

do you if it's a gift from your brother ? and then you register it in Bishop ?

How can my brother gift it if it's not in his name?
Ohhhh my sweet Bodjnac. Lets call AAA and have a breakdown...

Who ever is on the pink slip is a family member and gifted you the truck. You pay the transfer fee. There is no Smog requirement for the transfer of a gifted vehicle between family. The title is transfered into your name. As for the smog, if it's not required in your domicile's county. I don't believe that would be required to smog it bring a registration out of non op .

It's 2025. If you can identify as a ground squirrel. Certainly they will not require any documentation. (IE: family tree to fact check you, DNA Test. )

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
