Project G4 AKA Quasi-Ghetto

i been getting ready to add one. it would be for my van-life travels (most all national parks and forest do not have any signal at all) and so much of the USA does not have signal. plus be able to use it with my baja travels in my truck. makes things safer and more confident of routs/travel's. base camping in cal, nev. meh. not really needed much.
it would be nice to not have to down load maps, pod cast and be able to look up the next day or 2 travel plans and routes, make reservations if need to.

^^yea for actual overlanding a starlink would be awesome.

So, I just finished wiring. What a bitch getting that damn heat shrink on 10ft sections. Hopefully 18ft isn't too long for 14 gauge wire. I heard that these Starlink Mini's want a full 12V.
I read online they claim max draw of 60W, but in reality they take only 40W at startup and 25-30W when operating.

Calcs online make it seem OK? We gonna find out. Damn 2x piece harness cost me like 90 bucks to build.

Gotta love the switch pros too. When I ran my main wiring harness out the cab, I had a connector I ran with 4x power outputs (3x were unused outputs) I will just run the power lead from this harness to one of the unused outputs, and then simply open the app on my phone and confiure the GPS switch on panel to power multiple outputs. So now my GPS switch turns on satellite too.
