Here’s my rain gutter ranger built by Jake Povey with some final touches by myself and my talented co-drivers.

Here are some before and after photos.

Kroyer built SBF 351 Windsor all aluminum block and heads, blah blah blah.

Nice build- what coating are you using on trailing arms and aluminum panels?

What kind of numbers is that SBF putting to the ground?

I will post dyno numbers after I get the efi done. It’s a trophy truck engine detuned, it runs best on 120 octane if that gives you any idea. I know the previous owner and Kroyer spent a good amount of time tuning it. This truck has beat the juggernaut, isenhouer terminator, Parsons, etc. it’s apparently pissed a few people off!

The start of the EFI install. If anyone has any tips let me know!

Glad to hear that. Slightly sketched because of not wanting to screw anything up. Do you mind sharing who you had build your tune, ford engine tuners seem to be few and far between.

We had good luck with the Edelebrock ProFlow 4 on our SBF, simple plug in play. Holley should be similar
I had nothing but nightmares with the edelbrock kit on my LS. Something was wired wrong from the get go, it kept blowing the relay for the fuel pump even manually operating the fuel pump seperately from the edelbrock system it wouldnt fire. Kept having issues even getting the engine map to load. Threw it all in the trash and bought the holley terminator kit.

You can try calling my tuner- he works on everything. Powertrain Dynamics in Huntington Beach. Guys name is Steve. (714) 373-0068

I totally forgot about Steve! He used to do some stuff for a Porsche team I worked on.

This efi stuff has definitely come along way. I’m really hoping this conversion only make the engine better. This thing screams like a banshee but the carb does not like Idaho winters.

You will be very happy with the Holley kit. I love mine. Definitely get it dyno tuned and don't rely solely on the self learn feature. The self learn "works" as in you will be able to start and drive the truck but i would not trust it to actually run the truck hard. My parameters on the self learn system were very off from where they should have been, the truck was significantly rich and over fueled.

That's what I'm told about the self learning, it's good enough to get it on a trailer and to a dyne but that's about it. It does sound like once they are tuned they are great systems.

Where did you guys mount your ECU's?

Agreed with that!

I have the motion raceworks mount and i mounted it under neath the dash on the A pillar tube.

Well isn’t that a convenient mount. Thanks dude!

Made some progress tonight. Dont mind the speed wrench, having a little clearance issue with the crankcase vent and fuel lines. One of the crappy parts about Idaho is the lack of speciality auto shops, but I got some new fittings on order.
