The thing I miss the most about DR is the plethora of photos available for reference! From bed cages, back halves, bumpers, to just cool photos of your truck! Let's get that ball rolling again but better then ever Bad Lines Good Times style!!!!!

Post up some of your favorite photos of your desert truck!

Here's one I stumbled on the other day and it really made me miss the desert 😥

first trip after I "finished" the front and rear end. 800 mile trip with my wife (She didnt think it would make it) up to bishop/mammoth and back. One of my favorite pictures and trips by far. Didnt even have a squeak from the truck on the way home.
The best trips are the ones with the most stoke, hell yeah 🤙

My current ride is this 2000 Explorer 4x4. It is "bought - not built" and I couldn't build it anywhere near what I paid for it. It has a full cage, +4.5" Dixon A-arms and Kings with res, full width Curry 9", 4.88's, Deaver leaves and Kings with res, McQueen +4.5" fenders and hood, smog legal 4.0, BD lights, beadlocks, a really nice build for my needs. For prelanding runs, it even has two pull out Front Runner trays with a 60 qt roto ice chest and a cargo box. At 67 yrs old, I know my best days of building my rides are behind me but I still get out and enjoy the trails! The first pic is from the Oceano beach clean up two weeks ago.

My first true prerunner was a 1992 F150 stepside Lightning built by Steve Olliges. I bought it from Steve and then drove it for 5 yrs all over the southwest and Baja, chasing John Swift in TT and Class 6 BITD & Score. I even chased the Nevada 2000 (mile) race with that truck in year 2000! You had to be good at packing your tools and gear for that multi day rally stage based offroad race. That truck is now in Greg Cottrell's Rugged Radios stable of awesome offroad vehicles.

I used the internet wayback machine and found a few pictures of my old 2000 Ranger that were on desertrides.com....we did an install on it. I think the guy's names were Mike Flores (Bajaflo Movies) and Sean.....Here she is....minutes after finishing the install on a first gen Camburg 5.5 Uniball kit...
