Alright guys, I recently bought a 1st gen explorer I purchased 6”over beams and going to convert to D44 Knuckles. My dilemma is the rear, I’m curious as to know if anybody has made the deaver 64” leafs that giant uses work on the rear yet, my idea was to mount some hangars and shackle on the outside of the frame and run a full width 9” ( only because I got a 35 spline 9” laying around with disc brakes) just curious to see what’s out there

I believe it will work but the rear axle needs to be wide enough to fit them outside the frame. @Giant Geoff knows how much wider than the frame it needs to be inside tire to frame width/

Geoff posted on another thread.
You’ll need 7 inches on each side, which is 14 inches total. Put wheels on the 9 inch you have and measure in between each tire then subtract your frame width to the outside then divide by 2 and see what number you come up with?
