That’s a good idea. I’ll see how the lengths compare first to make sure I’m not bumping too short or losing too much travel.

I wouldn't trust that lip, that chamfer uses it all up. Replace the can with a king style, weld a plate inside you can to replicate the king can, or get some fox bumps as they have a lip to be used with a pinch can.
Damn. I forgot to toss in the spacers that I pulled from the one bumpstop. One was limited to 2” of stroke. Be careful limiting them too much. It was a cunt to get that snap ring out with it limited at 2”.

Awesome to build the truck and get it out in the dirt. I'm not a fan of the bedsides but it's not my truck . Looks like it is working good, even though you don't have bypasses, which everyone thinks you have to have to use the truck.

Spent entirely too long doing sheet metal work in the front since I want to keep everything as clean and quiet for as long as possible. I hate working on dirty engines, and the air filter, fuse box, and coolant overflow tank needed protection. Got it all done and covered in Herculiner (AWESOME stuff!), and lined the inside of the fiberglass with 1/8" rubber sheeting. The rubber made a massive improvement in sound deading when hitting the fiberglass, and it will help stop spidercracks when I paint the fiberglass.

The next day I left the group early to meet up with @obaja before he took off as he had been there since Wednesday. We took turns getting rides in each other's truck and seeing how they compared to each other (I built his engine, bed/cab cage, and set up his rear suspension). This was my first time getting a ride in it since the cage, and he did some valving changes to the front end. It was a huge improvement! Really happy with how it worked out. However, he still had never used his entire bumpstop in the rear, so we backed his bump zone comp tube out 4 turns (two turns at a time, prerunner series 2.5 bypasses) and it let him use the last bit of travel.
I let him do some laps in my truck while I stood outside and watched. It's seriously cool seeing the thing you built from an outside perspective!

From there we said our goodbyes and I met up with Bruce and the gang back up the hill at Sledgehammer for breakfast and more spectating.

I ended up leaving the group around 1:30pm to pack up and head home. The drive back was uneventful, cruising anywhere from 70-80 with the AC and cruise control on.
