Hey everyone, I am getting a very good deal on a set of deaver f31s for my 98 ranger. Just wondering if I’ll need a wider/ different shackle or if all I’ll have to do is flip my own shackle?

Do a drop hanger from Kartek using factory shackle, but move the hangers back. So put the front holes where the rear holes were, then drill 2 new holes. My F23s on my ranger wroked like a dream.

Is moving the hanger back something I have to do or just something you recommend for more travel?

I would highly recommend moving them back.

You could also flip the stock hanger, move it back 2” and down 1” and use the stock shackle. I had that setup on a ranger with f23’s and it worked well.

If you move the stock hanger back and pivot it about the lower forward hole, you can use cheap eBay shackles to get 17” of travel.
