Anybody have tips for regearing?

Gotta keep in mind I fix machinery so I have random ass pullers and access to some that are up to 8ft long to remove propellers 30ft in diameter via guys I can rent from. I’ve pulled pullies from 1”-34” in diameter with little to no heat. I made a press on sleeve for your pinion bearing from tubing and a bung I machined. If you want to meet up and hand the the pinion shaft I can return it with old bearing removed and new one installed as needed. Just keep me posted.

Alright I tried and I threw in the towel anyone know a shop or someone that can handle the job I have all parts so just the labor I have both axle and diff out so it’s easier already got quoted 1200 but not until mid Jan
You could try Martin @ Mobile Gear. He was reasonably priced and quick turnaround a few years back. (310) 704-1635

Just got the rear done for 550 so just need to put oil and brake fluid in and then mid Jan take care of the front

That guy has messed up 3 setups at our shop 🤦🏻‍♂️

Did 2 on the same day, both had ring gear bolts fall out 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
Seriously? Well that sucks to hear. Going on 3 years and few thousand off-road miles on mine with no problems so far. Thanks for the heads up!

I’m sure he has plenty of successful ones but 2 for 2 failing from ring gear bolts we quit using him. That was 6-7yrs ago then finally used him again a month ago and immediately on driving the pinion seal was puking

310 is suspect. It’s sad because LA had so many good shops 30-40 years ago compared to now. Looking for a shop to rebuild my cylinder head this summer I went to 2-3 shops with great reviews that are still up on Google but which were obviously permanently closed when I went there.
