Upgrade time! Picked this up this morning to replace my 2011 Kona Stinky TL. Been looking for a while for the best bang for my buck upgrade, and I’m stoked to have found this at the price I did.

One owner, purchased new from JensenUSA. Owner sold because he lived in Palm Springs and it’s too hot to ride for most of the year lol. Looks like everything is stock except for grips and a Specialized seat. The dropper post trigger was pretty disappointing, so I swapped it for my OneUp trigger. Can’t wait to start logging miles on it.

For some reason I dont see an electric motor on it? Did the motor fall off on your way home from the sellers house?

yooooooooo! that thing is going to be night and day nicer... cant wait to get out with ya on the trail

Yeah man it’s already crazy just the build quality. Shifts are crisp instead of mushy. Forks cycle like butter. It really is a totally different feel.

Nah man. This thing is powered by Chevro-legs

I just picked up a carbon Ripmo and love it. I came from a 26” hardtail, so made a big upgrade.

My engineer let me test the bike while in Denver and then he shipped it to me. This pic was after the climb up Maryland Mountain. The next morning we did Rutabaga, which was by far the gnarliest downhill I’ve ever done.

Got the bike home.

Congratulations! What you did on the Kona was amazing to watch, I can't wait to see your progression on a modern bike.
The funny thing is some of my favorite trails were probably 30-40 min from him in Idyllwild. And from what I have seen from a few locals, there is great winter riding out of the valley floor.

Thanks! He and his dad started their own autobody shop, so he was working 6 days a week there + a night shift somewhere else. I think he was just getting burned out.

I actually brought my cousin on a short ride today to see if he likes mountain biking (he does) and I let him ride my old Kona. Prior to his arrival, I went through the Kona and checked tire pressures, tightened pedals, checked brakes... and then rode it around the front yard a bit. WOW. The fork is substantially less smooth, shifting is 'meh', and the 26" wheels feel like a children's bike haha. Needless to say, I'm loving the Ibis!

Ken, let's ride the Riddler soon. I don't have anything going on tomorrow or Friday...

Let me see how work goes today. Friday, I have morning stuff for sure but might free up in the afternoon.
