Trailer Park Pro-Lite

I honestly prefer that over any raptor clip. Now make one where the ford ranger is converted to an obs ford front end like that.

I’d render it myself, but I am afraid of Skynet.

Blast some acetone in there to clean the schmoo out then get some cabosil fumed silica and resin mixed to the consistency of peanut butter or some gflex and stick the nozzle in and fill that crack up until it squirts out. Then tape the face up with some wax paper to keep the ooze to a minimum and let it cure for like 24 hrs and send it.

Beam is straightened! And plated!
And the sliders on the coilovers are swapped out... But now

Look at this fuckery

The piece of plate I boogger welded on cracked
1000003750.jpg
New bend and crack on the top of the frame.
1000003752.jpg
2 new cracks in the bottom of the frame

And it's kinda hard to see but the driver side upper link mount is pushed forward about 1/4 inch.

And the rear end is leaking from around the 3rd member at the housing.
Probably take it apart some time during the week or next weekend and give an update.

So I don't need to cut the hood and lay mat in there with resin?
Where do I get g flex or carbisol fumed silica? Am I basically just gluing it back together at that point? That sounds like a way faster / easier fix than doing a bunch of fiberglass repair.

Gflex is made by west systems, its basically like flexible toothpaste epoxy. I don't remember where I bought it.

I use us composites for most of my supplies. https://www.uscomposites.com/fillers.html

Grab some of their epoxy, the mixing pumps, the cabosil, and either some big syringes or you can make piping bags out of thick freezer bags. If you use the cabosil, make sure you wear respiratory protection, the shit floats like nothing else I have ever seen. Its wild.

Mix the resin first, and add some cabosil a little bit at a time to pet it blend properly and keep it from getting dry lumps, you want it roughly peanut butter consistency. I use like 4oz batches for the resin so it doesn't kick too quickly in the cup.

I don't have my hands on your hood so I can't say for sure but I would try filling the gap between the outer and inner liner and outer skin in a few spots and slazing up the crack in the front. To fill the gap, drill a hole in the inner liner, and spooge a bunch of the thickened epoxy into the hole with your syringe or piping bag so it spreads out in the gap. Then let it kick.

Then see what it feels like, of its still all wet lasagna noodle, sorry brah, gotta cut it open and reinforce it.

This stuff?

I'll look up that other resin stuff also

You can also add the cabosil powder to that to thicken it up a bit. Gflex is nice for stuff that needs to have a little give but still stick well.

Just make sure you get the surfaces good and clean. Use lots of acetone.

If it is doing it around the hood pins, take the flanges out and spooge a bunch of that in the area around the pin holes. Then redrill it and it should stiffen it up a lot. The goal is to make sure the inner and outer layers share the load.
