Can't believe I hadn't started a threat in here! I've been missing all y'all from the dezert rangers dayz

It all started way back in 17 or maybe 16 when I bought this perfectly good running 97 single cab ranger from an old man for 600 bucks. The only issue it had was Pele paint on the hood and 300,000 mi on the odometer

Trying to figure out how to attach these pictures to the forum using my phone. 🤦

Got some minimal upgrades, some top of the line whoops smoothing skyjackers and ebok leveling kit, some rear leaf springs off of a full size Chevy, 64-in. And a good old Lincoln locker for good measure

To go out for a first run in the dirt, doing rallycross at the time. So it's in a dirt field, and relatively smooth. And that was really all I was going to do with the truck. Cuz I was done beating up my daily driver Subaru doing rally cross

After breaking several motor mounts on that little 2.3 and taking them back to AutoZone after every weekend of rallycross I just had it I'd had enough and I tried to break the whole truck.
I know there's a video out there somewhere of it. It was the slowest rollover ever

Since the truck was fucked and I wasn't sure what I was going to do about it I went back to Raleigh Cross with the Subaru and back to my winning ways LoL!
My girlfriend was not thrilled

So I did like any good southern American boy would do, I stripped the truck for everything that I could sell off of it and I bought a plasma cutter, a tubing bender, a shit ton of metal!
that's when I started talking to turd-bro-Yoda and party barge

I really didn't have any money at the time. So I had to start my search at the local junk yards, got some kingpin i-beams from an Econoline van, on 49-in from that same van, fiberglass bedsides off of a newer Ford ranger, some sweet rims and tires, and a new roof

Built some equal length beams. bought a weld it yourself swinger set for equal length steering from Baker Motorsports. Built a janky ass engine cage the tight end of the main cage in the cab. So I was now caged bumper to bumper. Rebuilt and revolved the shocks on the truck. And found a smoke and deal for some fiberglass out of California that they shipped to me on a Greyhound bus!

Shut her down on her own feet and took her around the block. Then took the kid with me, she was not impressed. Then a couple days later I caught on fire cuz one of my reservoir hoses a cracked and sprayed the oil directly onto the exhaust

Fast forward over the years... upgrading to a three-link, and a V8, and several changes in the front and rear cage design, hydro bumps and coilovers and bypass on each corner. A bunch of off-road miles, helping the homies build trucks, and probably a million 4Loko

Truck is looking good. Do you have to screenshot the photos because the size originally is too big to post?
Yeah, I just been screenshoting them and then attaching them. It won't let me put them in any other way. It keeps telling me that there's some type of error. It's probably something I'm doing wrong

Rad story, lol.

Now I'm thirsty for a 4Loko in fact...or a few hold dozen

Cool journey man, love seeing it raise from humble beginnings, burn and rise again.
