Are those cage nuts used to mount the bike rack?

Yeah dude, i randomly found those at Ace Hardware. Like 6 bucks a piece lol. They slid into the rails groove perfectly to mount the rails to the brackets, then i used 3/8" bolts to mount the brackets to the tent. The heads of the bolts slid perfectly inside the groove of the tent then i just hit them real quick with my 1/4" impact with some locktite and some revlock to make sure they dont back off.

Yea, I've mounted plenty of heavy servers in racks using those, but I would be worried about them vibrating loose off road. The ones I use are like M6 or M8 hardware so what you've got is probably stronger.

Took the truck out with the fam up to Big Meadows (above Hume Lake) for its first shake down run with the new to us RTT. It was a blast! A lot different than trailer camping. Wes and I slept great. Wife, not so much lol. So I’ll have to figure out some type of topper for her to be a little more comfortable. I think for the first time, I have the setup pretty dialed. We didnt do a lot of dirt miles, just basically parked and had a good time. We have another trip this weekend to Dinky Creek (above Shaver Lake) where we plan to stay for 3 days. Base camping is super fun depending on your group, but I really want to do a point to point trip with the setup.

Set up looks realllll nice!

Thanks! Next on the list is to install the add-a-leafs into these Icon springs. Damn near riding on the bumps, and with 80psi in the bumps it makes the ride pretty shitty. I put them down to 25psi for now. Kind of regret going with drop shackles now lol.

Now I’m really sounding like an overlander lol, but in all reality I just like to get away, drink too many beers and eat junk food. No fancy shit here lol. But anyways, over the weekend we headed up above Shaver Lake off Rock Creek Rd which is the road you’d take in to start the Bald Mountain trail off Dinky Creek rd. A few weeks ago a buddy of mine hit me up and said “dude I found the most epic camp spot that not a lot of people know about, let’s go!” So we did and holy shit it didn’t disappoint. It’s one of those spots you find on accident. The spot is tucked away in the trees next to an epic creek with water falls and swimming holes. We may keep this spot to ourselves lol.

Offroad Expo prep has started. I bit the bullet on some BajaKits fabricated upper control arms. Not a bad price compared to other companies, and I do like bushing pivots on uppers compared to heim joints because they are a pain in the ass to align if you didn’t set them right the first time before install. A bonus was new brake lines also!

IMG_9860.jpeg

But WTF are these? Some sort of bushing press tool?

IMG_9861.jpeg

Also got my Precision CV shafts warrantied out for the “ET” versions which allow extra travel vs stock. The set I put in about 6 months ago have already ripped boots.

And sent these out to a buddy of mine for polishing. Why? I have no idea lmao but they’ll look good for a little while I hope. Desert Squadron sent me out a new first aid kit because my old box had turned pink from the sun. He also sent new staps so I think with the new case and polished mount it’ll be an eye catcher.

That looks like the steering extension from their prerunner kit. Might want to double check you have the correct length upper before digging in too deep.

You were right. They are extensions for factory tie rods on non raptor f150s. The control arms are correct though, they just supply those plus the brake line kits for guys wanting to run their "prerunner" kit.
