We don't want to get into the whole cost thing because I told my wife that this whole thing is going to cost around $1,500

Marketplace find, used KC lights but in great shape. I really wanted these they are the best looking light for a bug IMO. Also after putting the front tire on, it finally hit me, this is a wide biatch.

Since I upgraded the cam in my engine it was time to upgrade the springs also to something that can handle the lift. Single springs would have floated around in there like one of those belly dancers on crack.

Made the front bumper and playing around with light placement. Oh I forgot to say that I got more lights, joy, this is how you get more horsepower, everybody knows that, lumens equal hp.

Got more lights, but this time no joy. I don't like it. The idea here was that I would have these as street driving lights and the rest to see the moon in the dark. Or if someone wanted to get a quick tan in the desert they can just stand in front of the car no more that 69 seconds to reduce the risk of severe burns. I yelled fuck and removed these, back on the marketplace you go.

Back to steering, decided to work on the steering shaft and made this sweet (get it? SWEET servo) mount with scrap material that was laying around in the shop. The Ameribrade grinder is lifechanging for all your tube notching needs and bracket making. And they are great guys to deal with, not just because we have known them for a long time but they are legit dudes.

Another surprise, picked up my Weddle S5 that was on order forever. This one hurt the wallet so lets just be happy and not talk about it anymore.

Fits like a glove, made a temporary rear mount so that I could set the transmission in there and start measuring for drive shaft angles so that I could set the transmission in the correct place.

Turboyota trying to convince me to use this giant throttle pedal from the 80's. Intriguing but that's going to be a NO from me brah.

Time to start back up on the rear suspension, just randomly tacking the lower shock mounts to see where it works the best.

Got frustrated with the rear suspension so I made these close out panels for the front of the body. The front inner fender liner panel thing that I will make will attach to these. They say that you can just say that you can't think of the word in English and people assume that you speak multiple languages and don't think that you're stupid.
Although I could use that excuse, I still don't know what it's called so I'm going to call it inner fender liner panel thing.

A friend designed these shock stands and gave me the files. So I sent them to the laser and got them cut.
All I had to do is weld it together, looks better and works much better, I mean the previous version was just let them lay on the ground and yell Fuck every time you tripped over them. Not bad but I do like this better, it's like the mans close shopping excursion to the mall, you just look and touch before you pick out the perfect outfit to put on your car.

Now that I know where the shocks will be I went ahead and made the correct lower shock mounts. Cut it on the bandsaw after some amazing stenciling. This shit is easy, I might start a tattoo parlor and tattoo shock mounts.

Started the upper shock mount but I quickly realized that the tube to be made there was going to be too complicated and I didn't like the lack of tube triangulation.

So I did the right thing and enlisted the help from my 10 year old to build the most epic rear shock mount. Sparks were flying, music was playing I was singing (no I wasn't), everything was going great. Heck it looks great. Then the fit up happened, Fuck, missed it by a mile, well about 2 inches. Yeeted this mount across the shop floor and yell Fuck 69 times. Like Fred Durst would say, there's 45 fucks in this fucked up rhyme.
