Photos from your last ride.

Yeah, I spoke too soon. Now that I see a bigger picture on my computer it looks better. Looked like a sharp dip in the middle on my phone.

Pile some dirt on the pipe and jump into the berm! lol!

If I travel to CA from NJ, I'll be on my Dual sport.

Make it happen! I've got a few spare bike you can ride.

When it was tighter, it had a shark fin exit over the pipe and the pipe was mostly covered. But that feature killed exit speed. A double was built a little after the berm and we needed more speed to clear it. Check out the Ditch Loop Trail Work thread in the Trail Maintenance folder for the complete story.

Rode Bonelli Park - There is a steep rock garden with waterfalls on the backside (Pomona) of the park. I also spotted a Tarantula looking for a Friday night date. Did around 8 miles in a little over an hour. Coming up the backside of Bonelli was essentially me on a hike with my bike.

I went on a ride in Chino Hills State Park last weekend and I came across like 100 tarantula hawk wasps. Anybody ever been stung by one on a ride? Then I started wondering, if there are this many wasps, how many tarantulas are there.

I bet there are a ton of Tarantulas. I see them every fall at Bonelli, usually just 1 or 2 at a time, but once, like 20 years ago, I saw one of the roads in the park heading down toward Pomona covered in Tarantulas....like 30, 40, 50. So, there are a bunch of them.

Did you guys all give up riding? I rode Bonelli (the backside by the 10) today. I saw them name a new Pope and found tons of Prickly Pear.

I’m still trying to ride once a week. It’s been hot as balls and a new baby have dwindled my desire to ride as of late, but I’m still getting out there

The rain has made the hills beautiful and dirt a ton of fun… for going down, not up. Rode Runkle Canyon last Friday. Found a super fun short single track section with a couple of 3-4ft drops. Hit them a few times, then decided to hit the second one a bit faster the last go-around. Ended up landing to flat, going over the bars, and landing flat on my back. Been a minute since I’ve had a fall like that. Thankfully no concussion and didn’t knock the wind out of me. Still finished the ride with Feral Pig (really fun!). Got home and saw the helmet is smoked. Washed a few kilos off the steed and ordered a Smith Forefront2.

What trail has drops off Runkle? Also the mud up on Albertson's sucks in the rain.

It didn’t have a name and I don’t see it on any map apps. When you are a hundred yards from the top of the climb up runkle before hitting Albertsons, there’s a single track exit on the right. I’d never seen it until Friday, but it looked well ridden. Maybe the rain pushed down the brush enough to see it. Anyways, as you turn right onto Albertsons, there’s single track entrance is a hundred yards down on the right. Well before feral pig. It’s very short, but you can do a couple loops pretty quickly. Starts south and goes north in the image below

Did a 16 mile loop in Idyllwild (May Valley). Got to check out the somewillmostwont newest trail build thus far. It will be interesting to see where he takes it. This side is way more XC as there is limited continuous flow built in. Lots of ups and downs and lots of turns. Some great slabs and rock rolls. I am still undecided if I like this side of the mountain or the Pine Cove / Hub trails better.

@Endless Trails do you ride Idyllwild often? I'm not far from there and have seen a lot of trails on Trailforks, but I have no clue what to connect to what.
We have a place in Pine Cove so I get a ride or two when I get up there depending on snow. I will typically either ride out of the house and start trails at the top of Marion Ridge road or park behind the Arts Academy depending on which section I plan on riding. I will admit that there are still trails that I get turned around on as there are a few loops within loops and a wrong left or right could add some extra miles. If you have Strava you can follow me and see some of my routes and another good follow is a local Nick Beecham. Are you amish or assisted?

Rode sunday for first ride of the year. Had a little break in the rain so headed over to one of the local trails that is actually still rideable in the rain.

Was drizzling a little but but not bad. Got to the top of space it started pouring haha trail was a straight up creek. There was nothing I could do other than laugh at how drenched I was. Was in survival mode hit a little sender landed in a rock garden and burped the rear about halfway down mtn haha. Probably about 2 miles from the truck still. Pulled off under a tree and put some air in it so it was ridable Made it down the rest of the way back to the truck. Had to strip down into just my bibs for the ride home haha

Tires on the EVO are pretty smoked so going to swap them out.

Good times
