What radiator is this? My 99 explorer with the sohc has a radiator but the cores fill the sides entirely from front to back where as many replacement radiators like yours have a thinner core with that void behind the front core.

The yellow part is what im talking about.
Looks like are two different options for core depth. 1" which is what you have and 2 1/4"which is what I have.

I believe that’s the difference between the ranger and the explorer radiators, I found this out after now I wanna run the explorer one cause it’s clearly better

Well made good progress tonight hopefully have a roller tomorrow! And then motor goes in this weekend
Cleaned up the upper arm miss alignment’s with some scotch bright it’s the little things that really show
motor/trans mounts all painted and ready for installpsa cut your bolts!

Got the wheels back on this thing tonightstill need to replace the heims on the tie rods and paint them good feeling to see the truck looking like a truck again. Busy tomorrow but plan is to get the motor in on Sunday

Got the motor in this weekend front coilovers back on, bought these shock shaft guards to help protect from pittingalso got the transmission in, slowly checking things off the list!

Things are gettin tight! Just mocking up some things to see where everything will live still need to get a fan/fan shroud to make sure the intake will clear but this is looking pretty good probably will build some sort of splash gaurd if the filter ends up staying here if anyone wants to come over and help me plumb/wire this thing I always got cold beer

Ya.i have an explore on my side yard with all my donor parts. So once I figure out a trans setup I’ll get it pulled and swapped in the truck. Just trying to see what people are running behind it. I have been hearing c4 from a few people so seems like that might be the go to.
