The picture of the tans torn apart on the bench gives me anxiety

The center console wrap is so sick

So you just spray with some adhesive, then lay the foam, then some more adhesive on top to hold the material? How do you finish it off on the bottom?

Honestly, rebuilding a motor is way harder than what I’m doing to the trans. It’s just circlips and o rings.

And that’s pretty much it. I trimmed the foam flush at the end of the metal, but sprayed extra glue on the bottom edge of the metal so I could wrap the gator skin under. I come from a family of upholsterers, but have absolutely zero skill myself. I’m just not afraid to try something new

Got the center console finished and interior of the truck put back together. Previously I had tightened the cords on the bottom of the seats and it’s SO MUCH BETTER. Night and day! If you have saggy suspension seats, give it a shot. Planning on getting new seat covers soonish.

I took this picture for you to see how I did the backside. I probably wouldn’t copy my trimming technique, but I don’t think it’ll peel anytime soon. It’s sandwiched against tubes anyways so I’m not worried.
