The center console wrap is so sick

So you just spray with some adhesive, then lay the foam, then some more adhesive on top to hold the material? How do you finish it off on the bottom?

Honestly, rebuilding a motor is way harder than what I’m doing to the trans. It’s just circlips and o rings.

And that’s pretty much it. I trimmed the foam flush at the end of the metal, but sprayed extra glue on the bottom edge of the metal so I could wrap the gator skin under. I come from a family of upholsterers, but have absolutely zero skill myself. I’m just not afraid to try something new

Got the center console finished and interior of the truck put back together. Previously I had tightened the cords on the bottom of the seats and it’s SO MUCH BETTER. Night and day! If you have saggy suspension seats, give it a shot. Planning on getting new seat covers soonish.

I took this picture for you to see how I did the backside. I probably wouldn’t copy my trimming technique, but I don’t think it’ll peel anytime soon. It’s sandwiched against tubes anyways so I’m not worried.

Threw on a 6k UTV winch today. Ever since Scott pulled me out of the sand with his, I’ve been wanting to get one. Tucked in very easily, seems well built, all the wiring was color coded so really hard to screw up, and comes with a wireless remote. Definitely a china product, but instructions were written by someone in the US for sure. Proper grammar abounded.

Winch = $200 purchase price, two hour install time

Finish 4WD = Regear front diff (still not sure I love the 4.56 I dropped to in the rear from 5.29. Lower RPM on highway is nice, but significant drop in torque, which was expected I just didn't think it would be this much. Needless to say, it'll probably change again at some point, and I don't want to have to change the front again as well) $multiple hundreds. Redo driver side exhaust $50 materials, half day's work. Have driveshaft built $fewhundo. Build transfer case shifter chingadera another half day-full day work. So approx $1500 parts and a few solid days of work, which are hard to come by with an infant and wife who also works.

i couldnt get away from 4.56 fast enough. Gears are waaaay too long in the 4l80e.

does your lockup work on converter? When I lock it up on G4 it's not too bad on rpm even with 5.43. But then again I'm not doing much highway

Hahah yeah Idk what wild hair I got to do it, but I'm liking it lol.

It does work, but I do a lot of highway driving with the truck since I don't have a trailer. I think 70-75mph was like 2800rpm. I'm now down to like 23-2400
