You two are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Stoked to see the progression of this truck through the years. Glad to see it's finally going to have some horsepower, which IMO is just addicting as go-fast suspension stuff. Can't wait to support you guys more in the future. I am a fan!
Thanks buddy we really appreciate it. We all need to get more trips going with everyone. Its pretty sureal to finally get this motor in. It changed the whole dynamic of the truck.

Glamis in a few weeks?
Truck may be going by then! I will let you know!
Idk why but sourcing bearing for my third member was more of a problem than I originally figured it would be. Will be ordering them tomorrow from AJ with evenweller.

New video is up, Episode 3. I keep having uploading issues on Friday morning's from home, I'm going to try and upload the videos earlier in the week and just have them premier at 9am. This has been the goal but hasn't worked yet . I hope you guys that have watched have been enjoying the videos. They're alot of work to say the least, but I really enjoy putting them together between work and wife/mom duties.

Stoked!

Can't wait to see them all and learn about the history of that beast.

Thanks for embedding the link for me.

Thanks Mikey, this has been a very exciting and trying time for us. Getting to this point has taken forever and I am excited for us to be able to use the truck more once we get everything sorted out. We plan to race Battle at Prim in a couple of months. Hope to see you all there!
first episode was cool, thanks for the shout out, but truely like @the_fablab_ said you guys are awesome and its easy to want to support good people.
Thanks Adam! Ryan wanted to say more, but I caught him off guard and he was eager to get the truck in the shop and start tearing Betsy's heart out. lol

Luanna has been keeping the youtube updated so figure I should try and keep this updated.
After the race and getting the truck back into the shop I kinda went on a hiatus with the f150 and was focusing on the builds we have going. It was partly due to funds for the race truck not really being there and just needing to take break after the last 4 to 5 month push on the new motor. A few weeks ago I started to pull the 3rd apart and decided to rebuild it myself. I have done them in the past and had Kevin Lawarance build my last one and never had an issues with it. I wanted him to do it again but since he move to AZ I didn't feel like dealing with shipping it. After tearing the 3rd down I took it to my buddies shop and mag checked all the parts and bead blased the case and painted it the next day. All parts got a clean bill of health. We order a set of motive pro 10 inch 543 gears. We were going to switch to 529 but I screwed up in my text and ordered 543 which was in it before and never had an issue, just wanted to try something new. For the next 3 weeks I would try and find bearings with no luck. Called and emailed gearworks multiple time with no avail. Called a few bearing houses who never sent me quotes. Finally reached out to AJ with evenweller who had the parts in stock and got me everything I needed within a few days.
Last Sunday I started assembling everything. I switched the pinion to a true sid space as well. Should have the truck going this week and hoping to go out for a run this Saturday if everything goes to plan as I have to smog the deselect after I change out the throttle body. Gotta love fly by wire.

After finishing the preload on the pinion I was getting ready to finish the final assembly and forgot I had to paint the yoke. Also figured I would machine a seal saver cuz why not. Lol. Should finish it up tonight and plant to have the 3rd back in the truck tomorrow if all works out. Excited to drive this beast again!20240228_193044.jpg20240228_193101.jpg

Story time.lol motor was doomed from the get go unfortunately. Ring gap was no correct and pistons were wrong. From inspection after the fact ring gap was more towards NA motor and had 4.6 pistons which are 1/2 inch shorter than 5.4. I also believe we had a fueling issue on the pass side of the motor. UT can be 100% sure as all the pistons and ring were messed up on that bank. I have some fault in the piston side as I ordered them. I would assume as a builder you would check to make sure they were right but we all know what assuming g get you. Lol
