93 Explorer “Sleepy Joe”

Bought this new to me 1993 ford explorer about a month ago and have been making some changes as I have time.
Specs:
-4.0 V6
-Automatic Transmission
-Electronic t-case(surprisingly works)
-Cut and Turned beams
-Solo Radius arms
-2.5x8” coilovers
-2.0 bumpstops

Goal with this is to “finish” the build with some rear suspension courtesy of ryan cook (cookcraft) and have a fun little sleeper rig to cruise around this season. I was planning on buying a stock 5 speed explorer but this already had some solid fab work and a relatively complete front end so went down after work and picked her up!

Within 24 hours of buying the truck I lined up a trade for some rad eagle alloy 15x8 wheels wrapped in 33” KM3s wasn’t a huge fan of the stock wheels and it was hard to pass up on a straight trade. Eventually going to get some skinny 33s but these will do for the time being. Really like this style wheel and they have a little higher offset which is nice on these stock width trucks. Pulled the roof rack and those god awful amazon lights liking how its coming along.

Built simple little push bar to hold some baja designs XL lights on the front these lights are awesome!

Little before and after, pulled the bumps coilovers and radius arms nothing to note maintenance wise just needed to be painted. Really satisfied with how the front of this thing cleaned up!

How the truck sits as of today 11/19 ordered leafs and some cookcraft goodies for the rear, cant wait to get it all together and in the dirt! In the meantime I want to figure out a rear storage/spare tire setup, stay tuned…..

Most of the rear suspension just waiting on my deaver g50e pack, wanted to buy used but couldn't find any. These explorers are getting pretty popular to build if you have any explorer parts for sale please message me! In the meantime gonna be painting up these beautiful cookcraft parts.
