From their Insta story it looked like theyll be camped right around where we normally setup for the cleanup.
Also, I *might* not make it out to this, depending on what the weather does tomorrow night-ish (Ill get called-out to go work if we get enough rain).

I am interested to see what the rain brings. Either way i will be out there as long as the fraptor doesnt shit the bed. Leaving oceanside at like 5:45 saturday morning.

Probably run around until about 1ish? grab lunch and head home is what I'm thinking it'll look like. But with that said the weather may be primo! So maybe we'll stay out there longer then expected?

Had a great time out there this weekend. Bailed outta work around 3pm on Friday. Met up with @sdecurti off the 14 in Santa Clarita. Traffic was a mess but really I only waited for 15 mins or so...
We hit dirt in Palmdale about 5:30 pm. We both hopped out of the trucks to air down only to be sandblasted in the 30 mile per hr wind
and then it started raining.... No Wipers... but still gunna send it!
The route to barstow was just as awesome as we remembered it. We were on the gas pretty much the entire way... minus the a quick refreshment once we crossed over 395.
rolled in to Barstow just about 7:30pm met up with @theycallmeWALLY and @Motiracer38
Grabbed some food and fuel... and headed to camp. Shot the shit with the boys and crushed a few sport sodas. Got ambitious and decided to pull out the camera.
Forgot my tripod... so ws on the struggle bus trying to prop the camera up on @theycallmeWALLY cooler
Found the perfect rock.
and then it started raining.... No Wipers... but still gunna send it!

We hit the rack around midnight right about 1 am the wind got turned up to 11... Shit was gail force all damn night. Rain fly flapping like a salmon... Fackkkk! At least we got a few hrs right....

Woke up in the am.. I think I slithered out of the tent about 6:45 was pretty much perfect out.
We packed up camp and with our sites set on Denny's @theycallmeWALLY wanted to film @sdecurti and I on the frontage road.
Scott was gone before I even crossed the access road. I spotted Wally waiting for me on the road....I just continued at my snail's pace through the whoops... He started filming naturally you start getting after it a little more than normal. I pass through the cement culvert.... things are still going pretty well even though there are some decent sizes whoops the trail kinda stays way right. I was kinda in the middle coming out of the wash.. probably doing about 30-35 with maybe 50 feet I realize I'm about to drive into a giant 4 foot deep rain rut.
I dump the brakes and pitch the truck sideways towards the road.... now in a 4 wheel slide, I skid into the smaller portion of the ditch...as I steer the truck into ditch.... Per Wally who was watching this from the road.( No longer filming) said he thought i was going over for sure. Apparently, my driver-side tires were 2 ish feet off the ground...... Bad Lines R Us
I had to go back and forth a few times to get myself unstuck from the crevasse... Radioed in to the boys that I went full retard and was ready for a Grand Slam at Dennys... It's only 715 am... you know it's gunna be a solid Saturday....

We ate and then met up with @85Yota @Cleandezert @JosB off Barstow main.
Had a little meeting of the minds and discussed our game plan which was starting in College hills then following 247 toward slash X and then back towards main.. We marked everything on the Son of Smokey App which was super cool and user-friendly... You can leave a quick description of what it is and snap a photo of it if you'd like... in seconds it gets placed on the map. So as we were driving around with app open you could see new markers popping up in real time...
In about 3 hrs ... 4 trucks marked all of this...

was a great day. The weather couldn't of been any better. Stopping by Hodge was a mistake, i was so angry after i left there. Even on the BLM side of hodge we found atleast 6 broken EZ ups. I have never seen it like that.
Oh and i am totally jealous of all the cars you guys found.
