2011 3.5 Fraptor

ever put a bunch of work into something and its just not right and you are totally demoralized?
Well here i am today. Drove the truck to work for the first time. and not happy.

1. For sure the seats are too high. so my only option is ripping out stock electric sliders to drop them.
2. Its kinda odd not having side bolsters on the lower portion of the seats. Not sure if i like it or not. Kinda feel like i am sitting ontop of the seat and not in it.

So my options which i dont like any of them because its more work and $.
1. put old seats back in, but need to source stock seat brackets i cut up to make these work.
2. Lower seats and pray i am okay.
3. order all new seats and make all new lower seat mounts.

Sometimes i hate working on shit.
I'm sure there will be lots of seats to test sit this weekend. Give them a test sit..... Get new seats that are the right fit and then sell ones you got for $575 for $600
Profit.
Be happy.
The end.

While it sucks to be out money, I'd totally keep those seats and convert them to office chairs or lounge chairs for the house/garage. Your wife got them for you (probably with your money) on a special night for you/the organization. That's something I'd want to have to remember.

i am more pissed the time i spent in the garage redoing all the mounts. lol That isnt fun work to me.

What Deavers are you using for the spring under? K96 or S32? Or are they a custom pack?

i am actually not sure. I had Richer racing order them, but my understanding is they are just off the shelf spring under from deaver for a 2011 f150.

Well if you read my post about putting new seats in the truck, I didn't like the daily driver seats. They sat too high (my own fault) and they didn't have any bolsters. So I ordered new Podium elite seats for the front to match my existing seats, the podiums will go in front, and the daily driver seats will go in the rear. Also bought a fridge I am going to mount between the seats for an arm rest, and so I no longer have to pack a cooler.

Now its just a waiting game to see if I can get it into a shop to mount it all.

click for fridge

seems like it should work. lol now i need to order a battery and charger. hoping I can get it all to fit nicely.
Also going to have to see what I can do about the back wall of the truck... without the bench seat covering it, seems like I will need to make something to finish it off.
Its less of a concern for your setup since your fridge is inside the truck but I bought a 50a dc-dc charger from renogy. I opted for that one specifically because. Its ip67 rated and I can mount it under the hood. Ill post up once its installed but on first glance its nicely made.

is there a way to hard mount the fridge?
i want to have a rack made for 2 rear seats, and then sit fridge between them... hoping can make a cradle and then strap down the handles to make it hard mounted...

JUST mount the seats????

This thing DESERVES a lot more than that, ya big dummy!

I am super excited about my update right now. This whole year i have been kinda over this truck. But now that i get to pick it up sunday from Juberas, i am so pumped. I have seen a few photos, and its going to pretty cool. So excited to see how it turns out. Still will have some wiring to do, but that shouldnt be too bad at all. Big thanks to Ryan even though i was joking about him taking forever at the clean-up, dude builds some solid stuff and does way better work than I do.
