V8 Solid Axle Ranger

Looking more likely after tonight’s push. Took the Transmission in to swap the output shaft to match the Atlas. Trans ended up being toast according them which was a fun surprise. So it got a full rebuild with some updated parts. Got it all mated up and in. Gotta build x members and drivelines next.

You're not screwing around with this thing! You've gotten a ton done in a short amount of time, and done a tone of wheeling with it too!
Thanks! Ya I typically jam non stop on projects once I get excited about them. This thing has been a blast so far and more capable than expected. I want to hit all the hard trails this summer Like Fordyce and Rubicon, I think after this it will be pretty dialed.

This thing turned out great. You should get the axle pros logo hand-painted to really tie in the hot rod theme. Should be some old school painters left in the central valley.
Thanks! Ya I agree that would look cool. I was thinking about having a stencil made and spray painting it on for that old school look. But having it hand painted is definitely a cooler idea.

Truck is at the transmission shop currently. Shifts 1-2 perfectly but wont go into 3rd. They said they may be able to fix it by dropping the pan and doing something to the valve body. If the trans has to come out, its going to KOH as a 2 speed with a top speed of 45mph lol.

Welp she survived KOH! This thing creeps through the big rocks really well now. Can’t believe the only body damage I got was a tail light. Very first thing I did with it was pull it off the trailer and go up chocolate thunder which was a little intimidating and stressful learning how to use the Atlas in such an intense situation, but it went right up. Throughout the week it got much easier to shift.
