Do you have a stock rear end width aswell? Wheel spacers?

Definitely worried about noise my tundra was ungodly loud without headsets aswell from bypass chatter.

Stock width rear end, no wheel spacers. If I remember correctly the tires got close to shocks when it got flexxie but was never an issue, I’ll snap some more detailed pictures when I get home.
And as far as the shocks go…. I’m half tempted to just run a big 3.0 or 3.5 resi shock with a hydro bump stop. just get rid of the chatter all together.

Yea maybe one of @Giant Geoff free bleed shocks my buddy had a 3.0 king Geoff converted to a single free tube back in the day on his ranger it worked very well.

Both tubes are wide open, and the rebound as well. So really a big free bleed tube would work just as well or better….

My under the bed set up is awful I'm leaving a lot on the table i believe with what the 64 kit is capable of. Geoff warned me about using a small body shock (2.5" fox triple bypass) in this application because of the crazy shock angle at bump. The shock lays over a lot at bump causing it to loose compression damping as it cycles up. The bypass has 15 stacks in it now with booth compression tubes close to closed. The are stages with the bump zone more closed then the other. The truck bottoms out hard on stuff it should not. It cycles 17" bumped and strapped. Also I got the Deaver G2 pack second hand and it desperately need to be rebuilt. I agree with Geoff if you use a 12" shock under body it should be a bigger body like a 3.5 or 4"

Damn….
Even a larger diameter shock with more valving would most likely generate a ton of heat working at that.

Well since you already have the cage, making up some rear shock mounts should be fairly easy for you. Mine was a bit of a production because I didn’t have a cage to tie into yet.

Radical thanks man. What width bench is that it fits nice. I put a 48" in mine but that will undoubtedly have to be changed out with shocks coming in to the cage. I think the benefit is greater than the con's.

That’s a 43” bench, standard individual bucket seats I have are 22” I think I can squeeze both in there but I’m going to cut out the rear section of that shock mount and scoot the seats back while tieing the shock mounts into the cage. That bench was okay for small people but would get a little cozy for some full sized dudes.

-this task is next on the build list so we will see real soon if they are gonna fit or not

Late to the party regarding the bump stop spacing. Bodj idea is most likely the easier of options, but we have machined aluminum pucks and spaced bumps down more than once in the shop. Nothing wrong with it at all! Same horse, just different color. Bronco looks tits, ar 23 with projects looks so good

@LoganB thank is dude! I’ve got a love hate with the projects lol, love how they look and how durable they are, hate how heavy, the flat spots and constantly leaking air
-I did the bump stop extension like boji suggested, but I think I’ll need some additional reduced bump zone. In that case I’ll space out the bump stops. Thanks for chiming in on that, it’s good to know It’ll work

I finished up the harness bars last night, as well as cut up the rear shock mount/ seat mount. I can fit two full sized bucket seats but it’s still a bit of a squeez. Fairly comfortable though, I might move the seats back a bit, the harness bars kinda sketch me out

I hear you on the projects. I love mine, and hate mine. Only beadlock wheels I have that leak air no matter what. I haven’t driven my ranger in close to three months…. I think the tires are gonna be square with how bad the flat spots are.

I got rid of my projects. The tires were fairly old but still held air no matter what. But I opt'd to ditch them for either a MT or AT tire to not die anytime it rains lol

I was thinking the next tire set would be some Toyo open country MT’s. I don’t need a 13.5” wide tire but I’m seeing a lot of 35x13.5 r15 toyos out there instead of 12.5, Might look cool on my wheels. But that’s a lot of tire to sling around

13.5 looks ugly on any truck imo. On a prerunner I think it’s gonna be too much as well. I don’t know of anyone running a 13.5 on a prerunner. The Toyo mt in a 12.5 is plenty big compared to other 35s.

Appreciate the suggestion. Generally don't feel worthy as I'm mostly just fixing up an old build but it would be nice to have a thread so I could solicit input for future stuff. May dig up some photos over the last 5 years to at least show what I'm working with. We'll see.

I feel like I’ve been working on the rear seat sistuation for a long time and don’t have much to show for it.

-tabbed the seats, I have them reclined pretty far. Seem comfortable though.
-in the process of tieing the rear shock mounts to the cage and adding a harness bar. I’m thinking this will be permatemp.

Or thats what I’m telling my self because I used welded seam and MIG blasted it

I still need to get the back end of the shock mount but that’s for another day.

I’m taking some time off work next week with hopes of making a big push on the bronco.
