Can the AWD case handle feedback from a standard front diff?

I thought there was a viscous deal in there somewhere to do something?

I dailyd an AWD 5.0 expo for years. Thing was a blast on the street. Especially in rain or snow.

Yeah that's a good question. hopefully it won't blow up jumping it or through the whoops.

it has a visco coupler inside the AWD . My buddy did this exact swap but had a straight axel instead of D44. He said it worked awesome. And I know he does not go easy on his vehicles Later he took the coupler out and welded it then put it back in so it was 100% AWD all the time.

I'm gonna leave mine with the coupler and see how it works. Might allow me to have a rear axle hand break to get the truck rotated easier

Lots of people say they had a lot of fun abuse TF out of their AWD expos on and off road, so I'm hoping this one holds up
