What are you guys using for tool storage?
I have been using milwaukee tool bags, but with my new set up they are a bit too tall to slide under my seats.
I just ordered a tool roll to see if it will fit.

The only problem i see with the tool roll is i have airhose for the power tank, and it wont fit in the small pouches.

What air hose type are you using? I have a coiled one that wraps up on itself. I'll try to snap a picture later.

I use the Milwaukee tool bags in my 40mm ammo cans and they are about a perfect fit.

I use a tool roll under my seat because it is flexible and can form to the odd shape it sits in. Has 6 pockets so it helps tremendously with organization. @marcytech mentioned the toolrolls in the "What to pack? Tips-tricks" thread and I got one shortly after. Game changer. I used to have a craftsman power drill bag that I used to throw my tools in but they would be hard to see inside the bag and they weren't organized.

I don't carry this air hose normally, I just stuffed it in the largest pocket on the tool roll for the pictures sake. This air hose is about 20' long max. It stretched from the front of the exploder to the rear on one side.

It’s pricy but would be nice in the bed.

that is legit.

Don’t mind the filthy bed, but I keep all my PowerTank gear in an ammo can. Works perfect. Hand tools and all other tools are in a Rhino USA tool roll that’s stored in an Action Packer that’s strapped to my bed cage.

ive used toolbags for ever, but since i havent moved my 4runner in like 18 months off the side of my house the bags have UV rotted. Im thinking i need to start using ammo cans or some shit next. but ive never found a solution for tool stage that i really liked. years ago i had an idea to try to work with a clothing designer to create a tool storage bag / roll that i really liked that fit things related to our off road toys like big wrenches and socket storage but never put much effort into it.

I really liked the Solo mounts that incorporate the harbor freight pelican cases that we raffled off during our cleanup. But for my space, i basically have the entire underside of my back seat open, and behind my seats open. So i am trying to keep stuff inside... Plus a 5.5ft bed with shocks, a 39" tire, and jack doesnt leave much room.

will Milwaukee packout cases work for you? I can get you that stuff for cheap through my brother in law i bet.

I've always had my tools in Dirt bags or wrench rolls then in pelican case in back of truck strapped down in Mouse.

The pelican cases are pricey but they are pretty much indestructible. I bought them used 15 years ago and they still work good as new.

The Harbor Freight Apache cases are pretty legit, also the Milwaukee pack out boxes are pretty cool.

This reminds me I need to built a complete tool kit for the 4runner. Nothing worse than needing simple tools and not having what you need.

What about something like this or these

use BADLINES10 for 10% off.

rad, i was looking at prp stuff, and this gives me another idea. I think ideally i might have a mix of a few different bag sizes.
100%... think I talked about this in another thread but it's nice to have a big tool kit that's usually buried and then another " quick tool kit" that you can grab that's like under the driver or passenger seat with screwdrivers/ Mexican speed wrench and zip ties, tire plugs etc. So if you need something small you don't have to rip half the truck apart to get to it.

that is legit.
This will be my next upgrade for the air stuff on my truck.

Bruce and Mikey with @the_fablab_ use the Milwaukie pack out that clip in... I also need to invest in these.

The Packout Cases from Milwaukie seem to be the play IMOP because of how easily they clip in. Now... Going fast and shit rattling around all day might kill the vibe but that can be fixed with towels and foam.

I’m trying to get them to donate one of the hose reels for the next cleanup as a raffle prize.

I think if you have something like a bronco or truck bed with camper shell then the pack outs are cool, because you’re fitting rectangular storage into rectangular places. That wouldn’t work for my setup, or a lot of others, though. I actually had craftsman versastack boxes (off brand packout-esque) since I built my truck, and just switched to some cheapo tool rolls that fit in a much smaller space under my spare tire. Now I have room where the boxes were for things like camp bins so I don’t have saddle bags on my fenders anymore lol

I really want to build in some external bedside storage boxes like on utility beds but I suck at bodywork so it would look like crap. I would like to do it with the factory bedside skin as the doors though.
