THE NUCLEAR UNICORN

It doesn’t look like much work has been done from the last post, but… The @mcneilracinginc ford OBS prizm dash and center console are completely hard mounted. I made a set of external brace plates that I’m going to bead roll (once my bead roller upgrades arrive) and a set of tabs, with nutserts, that weld to the body to help support the bottom side of the console.

Got the hydro boost mocked up and the firewall patched. Next I’ll be working on getting the engine cage started.

so how are you going to splice back into those tiny stubs that seem to be way tucked in under valence? I would think that would be impossible to weld, etc.

Very clean. I really like the proportioner mounted off the master cylinder. I may have missed it did you plumb in residuals after the proportioner?

Thank you!

Yes, there are two 2lb residual valves that are plumbed in after the proportioning valve for front and rear brake bias, to help keep the wilwood calipers from collapsing onto the rotor.

This is how I had it set up when it was still connected to the stock brake booster. The proportioning valve will be placed in a different location once the engine cage is finished. All the brake lines will be getting redone as well.

Some updates since the last post. Slowly working on this as time permits. Engine cage structure, rhino lined the firewall, Installed the blitz steering column. purchased a Jamar brake pedal, Jamar remote reservoir, and tilton master cylinders for the brake updates.

Started messing around with shock mounts and shock position. The 4.0 bypass and 3.0 coilover are going to look pretty cool in there. Built a steering shaft too!.
Everything should start taking shape soon. 🤙🏼🇺🇸
