The Grand Tracker (Retard TT)

Sorry diff sold. And you got 2 tables for the price of 1 already. So you buy one get 1 free know the tables.

Yes but i have like 10 other projects before that one is even considered to be started. Need to do my tt motorsports race tundra kit and tundra/sequoia parts design on that thing before i really chop it up for my personal adventure rig project. Plus I need @Motiracer38 to finish design the rear cantilever setup so I can steal that design for myself. Lol

Yrah within an hour and guy paid 100 more than asking price. He's picking it up tomorrow morning st 7am he said too. I had 3 front ends and sold all of them yesterday within a couple of hours of posting on IG.

Added some limit straps to the front. New hood pins in place. Changed tunes in the computer

Truck got a new a/c compressor, new thermoststs, alignment, engine coolant lines, new fuel lines (on engine side), valley turbo wastegate fixed and its ready

IMG_2852.jpeg

Flatbed trailer got 6 new tires (2 spares) and trailer brakes fixed

And then switched out 6 tires for the race golfcart. Figured out a decent system and had them all done in about 2 hours. Fuckin still sucks ass though. These tensors dont like to bust off the back of method wheels. Nice having a tire machine though

Pretty much ready for koh. Im fuckin whooped

Sweet!
Can you drive in the 2 tracks out there? I spend my time driving just outside of either side of it where the trophy trucks have dug in, or my skid plate continuously connects to the ridge center like I'm on a jack hammer feeling monorail.

I have no issue till the ruts get real deep, then i plow like hell. I expected way worse but the clearance i had on ifs was way less than i have with beams. There was only a couple areas we had to straddle slightly. Barstow around the entrance to the ohv area there is some deep as shit ruts and i drug like hell through there but so far the race courses have not been that bad

Saw this thing on the trailer today on your way out of hammertown, such a cool little rig.

Spent a couple evening and a day deep cleaning this bitch. Been 10 years of abuse and figured she deserved it. Plus the fact we did a YouTube shoot on it. Thinknim falling down that rabbit hole. We shall see.

Tore the ass end apartheid to inspect and clean. 7 years of abuse and no cracks or issues so paint it got

Shocks were already rebuilt but with the new front end and the fact ive slowly increase rear end ride height 3” from where it started (was 4”, now 7” of shock shaft showing), i noticed the back end going through the rear bumps on g-outs. So i took them from 2” stroke to 3” stroke. Filled completely to the top, then removed 10cc of oil and run 60psi of nitrogen.

Just had to cut 1” out of that bottom spacer

Back together
IMG_1564.jpeg

Interior got ripped out and carpet cleaned and many inaccessible parts wiped down.

Next was fixing the god damn interior squeak that would cause a nun to punch little babies in their soft spot. Yes, it was that fucking bad. As i was scouring the dash for cracks in the steel support, i decided to pull the steering column. Soon as i lower it, there was the noise! Come to find out the shaft was sliding in the end bearing and that bearing was shot. Thus, metal on metal contact making seal team 6 torture worthy noises.

Took the bearing out and make a delrin bushing instead. The original shaft didnt need to float in that end bearing but since i now have a fixed shaft between that area and gesr box, it needs to float. No biggy as it collapsable within the column and meant to slide. Made it .002 slip fit… thought that was great till i drove it. Since the turbo down pipe is by it, fucker caused the bushing to grow and make it hard as hell to steer after 15 min of drive time. Took it back apart, cut .010 out of it and its tits now. As rouse told me “Science” 🤣

Went out to geiser loop from there for the shoot and smashed on it. Fuckin thing feels awesome now. Just like she says, 1” makes all the difference. 55-60 around that track was no issue. Could easily go faster but thats plenty for me and no cage. My buddy that did the fliming did a bad ass job. Welcome to watch the youtube video but its mainly me just talking about the shit box. I personally like the ripping footage more

During that good ol smashing, i gained a knocking noise under large bumps. Pass motor mount let go. Knew it would at some point, it wasnt happy when i put it back in during the frame chop. So swapped a new one in last night.

Also noticed the battery seemed loose. Seems my innder fender has had enough with life

Going to weld that up and do a little plating. I have a feeling its been that way for years. The outside has always had an issue wirh cracking. This is the side that the rig was originally smashed in from by a deer when i bought it 10 years ago. Doesnt help my body mounts are fuuuuucked. So the fix is mas steel. May wind up finally go full tube up there at some point. Welder ran out of gas so it all needs to be welded still and i have more plating to add

Once this is done, its on to making frame body mounts out of 3/16 steel and addressing some small cracks there as well as all new body mounts bushings in this thing
