Ya with my cell back there I think it’s a up hill battle on that. I didn’t want to go up and out to be a little more kid friendly or shoot at the ground for dust. Tried to find a happy medium

What gears should I run to best fit freeway rips to the desert? Starbucks runs... sales at the mall... that kinda pre-running.

My options are 5.13 or 5.38 to match the front dana50 beams

if this was 2 wheel drive i would say the 513
being 4 tires to bog i would go 538
more romping powa for the mall

For highway miles I dropped from 5.29 to 4.56 with a 6L/4l80e and 35" tires. Made a good difference in mileage and the truck isn't screaming at 70mph anymore.

TH400 yes on 40s sir.

I cant recall exactly what rpm i was turning- i was doing mid 60s on the freeway i want to say around 2750 rpm.

I used a similar calculator for figuring mine out. But turning 2750RPM for hours gets old. That’s what I was turning at 70mph. Now I’m at 23-400ish at 70-75mph

I totally do, too. But if you’re going to be putting a lot of highway miles there needs to be some compromise

Ya I want to put a ton of miles on this thing. My big regret with my ranger is it wasn't very street friendly, and I had a lot of money in it and sat in the garage most the time.

Your ranger was beautiful- Exact same situation im in with my ranger. I love the truck but i didnt make it street friendly enough.
