Where are you getting OE parts from? Local dealer or good online source? I hate going to the dealer, I swear everytime the counter guys act like it is their first day and they have zero idea on how to help you.

I have a great relationship with a Ford dealership in Exeter, ca (a small town north of us). I call parts in and they deliver to my place of work. I typically get parts at a discounted price within just a few days. They are great dudes.

Curious how you’ll like those tires. I had them and absolutely hated how quick they wore, and they only got louder. Truck looks tits like always though!

There’s a couple Toyota dealerships in my area that sell parts online for a significant discount and you just pick them up at the parts counter already paid for online. I’d imagine some other companies do this - mainly depends on the number of dealerships in your area affecting the likelihood that there’s one such dealership that has that kind of program.

I wish someone would have told me how terrible Bajakits were/are lol. For anyone that cares, those fuckers sent me 2 different control arms, and i realized after i already pressed in the bushings and riveted the logo on the correct one. I'm so glad i caught this before i tore the front end apart. So now im going back and forth with the distributor i bought them from to try and get my money back. The last weekend i have to work on the truck before the expo is this coming weekend so no matter what the outcome is i'll be stuck with my stock uppers for the show. I received over 10 messages on Instagram after i posted my situation telling me how shitty this company is. I had no idea.

Story time.

A buddy of mine originally from Visalia who now lives in So Cal and currently working for Kibbetech calls me after seeing my control arms being wrong situation on Instagram. He asks, “If Ryan is ok with it would you be interested in a set of our billet upper control arms for a good price? I’m heading to Sanger (a town north of us) for a wedding on Saturday, I could drop them off along the way”. At this time I’ve started the return process for my current Bajakits arms but I physically don’t have the money return yet so I said unfortunately I have to pass because I don’t have the funds back yet. Well here comes 3pm (this friday) and my buddy RJ (red gen 1 raptor friend) happens to stop by my work to BS because he got off work early, and I tell him the situation. He says, “Is he willing to give us 2 sets for the same price each?” So i asked my Kibbetech friend and he says Ryan said yes, so RJ ran to the bank to get me cash for 2 sets of Kibbetech upper control arms that would be dropped off on Saturday.

Nothing really worthy of a post but figured I’d notate this. So if you have a Raptor (or any ford vehicle I assume) that was originally built for sales in Canada, the DRL’s (Daytime Running Lights) are required to stay on by law. So your headlights stay on 24/7 even if the switch is off. This annoyed me for a long time. So there’s a scan tool called Forscan that you hook up to OBD port and you’re able to change “coding” in the system for just about a million things. Well my buddy Carl has it and he stopped by yesterday to get these headlights off when switch is off. It’s a little more complicated then it sounds, but we were able to trick the system by telling it that I wanted my DRL’s through my fog lights, not head lights. Well I don’t have fog lights so it worked! Threw on some Amazon headlight housings and it really made a difference cosmetically. Just need to attach all the polished pieces to the bed cage, throw in my spare, Badlands jack and a good detail and it’ll be ready for the expo!
