POLITICS THREAD

Yeah you can do down some tin foil rabbit holes about Kirk and billionaire's getting exposed, similar to Epstein stuff

A fire has been lit under Candace Owens, watch or listen to her recent podcasts post this killing of her dear friend.

Mr. Kirk (RIP) was starting to talk about Epstein being a gov. shell for world leaders blackmail, etc.

Folks are going to start talking about stuff leaders don't want them to......that is the "sleeping giant awoken" comment I made earlier.
We can only hope this bears fruit. For far too long it seems the powers that be have operated without fear of repercussions or consequences. It would be truly great to see some of these people actually held accountable

Realize that this statement now puts the left and right together on their abolishment of the first amendment. Her specifically mentioning “radical left” and “conservative family” and “conservative ideals” reads exactly how the left would write a similar post. Replace all of with these with the opposite party and the right would lose their minds.

While I get why she wrote what she did given what happened, being the AG she should have written it without party or ideal references. I would have then believed she was being earnest, but writing it as she did tells me someone said “it’s time to get the right on the let’s-abolish-the-first-amendment train”. I’ve heard of several people on the right calling for people to lose their jobs or get arrested for praising the murder of Kirk, but that speech should be protected regardless of how you feel about. Calling for murder may be a different story, but 100% sure that shouldn’t be protected as well.

As they say, never let a crisis go to waste.

Getting arrested for something you say, short of calling for murder is not ok. That’s what the first amendment is for. But for people to lose their jobs for what they say, that’s up to the employer. You work for a company, you represent that company and if you’re out there spewing hatred or other BS. while protected by the first amendment, I believe there are and can be professional repercussions for what you say in public. If you Own a business , what you say can affect who chooses to do business with you. If you work for a company and they decide that what you’re saying is against how rhe company wishes to present itself and their ideals then they can part ways with you.

You should absolutely be able to say and believe anything your want (within reason) without fear of being arrested for it. But I don’t disagree with companies being able to part ways with a person for representing them poorly

i agree with this, to a certain extent. people have weaponized this as a response to hurt other people... like in my case where i made a stupid common online and someone searched for me and then sent my employeer a letter to fire me. In those instances i was in no way representing my company, or associated with my company..... now if i stood on tv while wearing a company shirt and said stupid stuff. then yea fire me.

I in no way represent my employer, and unless i say or do something on the clock or wearing / promoting my employer there should absolutely be no professional repercussions. DOXing someone because your fucking feeling got hurt or because someone does not have the same opinions as you do is chicken shit. Its real life though and its only real life because the one doing the DOXIng has no fear of retaliation because it can be done anonymously.

*edit- should have read adams reply haha!

I do agree with you both. but, unfortunately this day and age that we live in everything is so accessible and out there and it makes the waters extremely muddy when it comes to this kind of shit. It’s the name of the game anymore. Not saying I agree with it but I choose to remove myself from the Bs. I got rid of my social media because I’ll be damned if someone wants to take some shit I put out there and hold it against me. I just chose not to play the game. Too many unhinged people with savior complexes out there getting offended and I just simply don’t have it in me to try to battle someone like that and potentially have it effect me where it counts.

I feel like the left getting a taste of their own medicine should hopefully maybe help this kind of shit only apply to truly heinous things going forward. We will see though.

I agree about employers if I’m wearing my company shirt, at an event representing the company, or a company event. If I’m at Trader Joe’s and call the woman who just took the last box of Peppermint Joe Joes a cunt while wearing my BLGT shirt, my company should have nothing to say or do about that. Regulating speech via large public companies, which are in cahoots with the government, sounds like a violation to me. If nothing else, it at least forces self censorship.

Your last statement here is the problem. Thinking that censoring or otherwise punishing the left will be good for us plebes is denial. It’s all a ploy to pit their pink hair versus your mustache and think that this is all being done for the betterment of some group you believe in.

It’s the feds, then the rest of us - pink haired and mustached alike.

I hear you and I share your sentiments about it. I have a bleak outlook on the future of this shit though. this door is open and I think it’d be hell or high water before it’d close. At the highest level it’s exactly what they want, but I don’t see it changing. Maybe that’s a bad stance, but for now I’m just gonna exit the chat on being part of the whole social media shit show, far better for mental health anyways.

I agree with you that tit for tat with the repercussions isn’t the answer. I think the majority of the looney left, outside of the powers that be, are really just simple creatures. I think the screaming masses need a reality check and I think some of them are getting it. Self censorship isn’t the answer, but if some of those pink haired lunatics get knocked down a peg and maybe in the future they dedicate a brain cell or two to real thought before they explode out on the world, instead of just reacting, it’s not a bad thing. That may be giving them a bit too much credit but a man dream can’t he.

Get ready Californians... You better start self censoring yourself online. Governor Newsom doesn't want you talking bad about his hair.

On another note:

Officials have permanently shut down the $2.2 billion Ivanpah Solar Power Facility in California’s Mojave Desert, admitting the project never lived up to its promises. Once hailed as a breakthrough in renewable energy, the plant also drew criticism for killing an estimated 6,000 birds each year.
