So after a few test drives (still battling squishy brakes / finally got all the crap sealed) it drove like a dump truck up front. So yesterday i pulled she shocks apart and found out why. Either someone was trying to valve for a 747 or smuggling .012 and .015 shims in shocks. They were triple and quadruple stacked both compression and rebound. Below is what I took out. Mind you I used valving from this stack already before the
picture was taken. Anyway it rides alot better up front now.

So here we are all caught up. Replaced the driver seat pad since it was trash, and been driving it everywhere. We did 120 miles in Lucerne and had a blast. Next up is a front bumper, rear bumper, and more as I can. For now, its smooth quiet and a blast to drive beings its 30 years old.

Clean bronco! Thanks for joining up and taking the time to transfer your thread over. I know from experience of transferring over bunch of threads thats no fun! haha Where you from ?

Thank you! Simple and not what some of the real talented people have done, but we enjoy it. Ha, yeah but I was able to see some things I had forgotten over time. I'm up in Hesperia, in So Cal.

Thank you! Theyre J40s which restricts my up travel. They lay almost into negative arch at bump and thats a 2” bump pad.
I remember the day you hauled it home you were telling me how clean it was and you diddnt want glass because the body was perfect. I think you did a good job making a very capable rig while maintaining factory body. That’s harder to do than most people think however a stock bronco done right can get 10-15” travel and ride like a caddie. From what I’m hearing you did just that. Me, I go glass and wider because I’m lazy lol. But on the flip side of the lazy comment a lot of stuff needs to be relocated so that not entirely true. I’ll make a post one day showing some core supports I’ve made just cause people should take old ideas and run with them and make them their own. desolate makes some good fuse box relocation stuff if you ever choose to go that way. Love the work amigo. Come borrow my radius bender and get that front bumper going! You got stuff to pick up here anyway. 🍻

I also wanted to say few dudes have the patience to make everything by hand 100% bolt on. You and I spoke on this more that once but I’m glad perseverance paid off in the long run.
