Plum, 1971 F-100

Before pulling out the motor, I had to figure out a way to lower my truck down the driveway. My driveway is way steep, and my garage is a bit small.

Enter the Harbor Freight 110v winch. Anchored it into the ground out the back door, and was able to pull the truck in and out of the garage without its own power. Maybe a little sketch sometimes.

Put the 390 on a dolly and tried to get it to the backyard to clean up to sell. Proceeds to dump the motor onto the side yard when the dolly broke.

Tried my best to get it back onto the walkway, but had to go grab my work truck and break out the hoist.

Got the new motor installed with some auto fab mounts. Ran new fuel lines and tried to keep it clean. 3D printed some fuel line spacers to keep the rail clean. Printed up a E2000 fuel pump mount, too. All ASA

Did the manual valve body in the 4l80. Had to make some stuff to do the TCC mod. Including the broke man’s lathe to take one of the flats down.

And that’s just about where I am at. The truck has been tuned, and is running okay.

Wanted to make some side mirrors, but didn’t have .75 die for my Rogue Bender. Decided to try and 3d print them out of some PLA on the cheap. Took about a spool of filament, but it was absolutely a success.

Able to bend some 3/4 DOM no problem.

I’ll grab some pics of the finished mirrors. Some reason I don’t have them.

Next up, is new rear suspension. Grabbed a used Giant 64” leaf spring kit from a dude out in menifee. Shocks are on their way.

Maybe one day it will be back out in the dirt. Have some plans to get a truck camper and still need to get a trailer. Gotta try and get all this before Sept, cause the wife and I have our first baby on the way.

That's so rad you made a die right at your house...
Honestly, I was so stoked on it. Especially for like 25$ in plastic, 20 minutes in cad, and like 20 hours of print time. I am curious how big I could go without failure.

I’ve seen a lot of dudes on the YouTube’s that have made form dies. Can make some really trick stuff with plastic and metal.
love seeing more f100 prerunner builds, thanks for posting this up!

Thanks, man! F100’s are where it’s at
