Leadfoot Grey 95 Bronco

To answer your question…. lol
I used the solo cage as a base then added all the extras to go to the engine cage area.
The solo cage is fine, good fitment and all the notches were tight enough to tig weld with only a little bit of clean up.
They designed it to work with the factory headliner and interior, so it’s not as tight to the body as I would have liked it. Looking back I would have done the cage myself. But at the time I was just trying to get it built in a couple weekends so I could get back out there safely…

-then it snow balled, life happened blah blah blah and here we are

Axles and gearing are coming up on the list of items to install and I’m waiting on gearing that I don’t think is making it so stock gears is staying in plus might go pick up a 9” from my families property. However been very careful about what to buy next year as I promised the wife only one purchase for the bronco a year as in upgrades maintenance and repairs don’t count thinking a cage but the options are all around the same price and not sure who makes the best “kit” any recommendations? I used my in purchase for the axles so planning starts now for next year. Also still need to figure out how I’m going to mount the hood after not doing it for the past few months which lead to me running over my hood in the lawn like an idiot. Time to repair my hood with a fiberglass sooner than I thought
My plan is to run the cage from TE Designs. For the cost, it seems like a no brainer compared to the other ones in the market. However, due to the nature of their cage, the labor will be more if you're hiring a shop to install it.

But like Tree Trunk said, it depends on what your situation entails. Could be worth getting a 3/4 cage for the time being and add to it down the road.

I’ve always like the solo cage but after seeing some of the newer stuff coming out TE has been ideal with the additional tubing for rear shock mounts and engine cage tie ins, just might not use the tubes behind the seats to keep it easy getting in and out

I’ve been saving for the TE one so some time next year I’ll be getting it. I need more than a 3/4 for how I drive the truck I’ve been lucky so far so might as well just get the one that’ll protect the most plus me building my own has already been out of the picture when I sold my tube bender.

Harris Built WIY Cage kit!! Best full kit on the market. Not cheap but IMO it has the best layout where you don't have to add things. In the case of the TE cage you probably need to throw half of the tubes away it's kinda over developed.
