Jawbone to Monachee May1-4

Bring the kids Prelander trip.

Optional meet up Thursday night in Jawbone canyon area.
Friday horse around the jawbone area and camp again.
Saturday AM take the dirt road behind Dove Springs into Kelso Valley, then through the Chimney Peak area and camp Saturday night in the Kennedy meadows area or ideally Monachee Meadow if the gate is unlocked by then.
Sunday drive home.

It’s about 100 miles on and off the dirt. 4x recommended but we could probably yank a 2wd locked truck up the hill in Monachee if needed.

I think we should cap the rig count at about 10 trucks so it doesn’t get too crazy

Unfortunately, don't think I'll be making this one. My Daughters B-day is on 3rd. Doubtful I'll be able to sell a 3 - 4 day family extravaganza and skip out B-day festivities.

Same here. Done a little by Bishop/Mammoth and did the V2R route in reverse last fall, but definitely want to do some more.

I’m just going to make a loop of it. If Kennedy meadows is open the wife and I might head to Sonora to visit family if not then maybe try to go to Reno to visit family there and then head back
