Looks great. My f150 5.8L running 10" 300 over 16" 500 on a 2.5x12 coilover. This is what valving I'm running with 2.5x12 and a 2" travel air bump.

This looks like a double flexy rate plate setup unless I’m reading it incorrectly

Yeah they like the rate plate on smallest shims for some reason. Im not a shock guy so not sure what benefits that has but I run it and it works amazing.

Took a little break from Bronco'ing and made a new patio table with lots of help from Sam. Turned out pretty sick! home depot 4x4s, some scrap 3" box tubing I had at work, and some all thread.

back to bronco-ing:

Trimmed the middle u joint so it just touches at metal to metal droop. Had to go all the way through the grease cap to clear, it removed a ton of metal. Might do the D50 stub like Tommy and Mitch Recommended still.

Axle painted and threw in there:

Stupid Spring plates warped like crazy before I could even get to the right torque. I guess I accidentally got the wrong ones from Richer. New plates made out of 1/4" are goin in.

Got some homie hookup bead locks, just gotta drill them for 5/8" studs.

I've always had that style spring plate bent till they hit the leafs and then deflect a certain amount and never had a problem with them, on v8 silverado's and toyota pickups also.

What lug nuts are you going to run on those wheels with 5/8" studs? Guessing desolate lug nuts.

I ran these on my tacoma and never had a problem with them and method wheels, drilled for 5/8" studs. I'm a cheap ass though and desolate didn't have their lug nuts back then and I wasn't Kibbe rich.

Ya i already bought the desolate ones. wish i would have bought the longer versions but they will work. these were only 3/16" and started deforming the holes, i feel much better with the 1/4".

Yeah when I made that style spring plate I do 1/8" weld plates over the bolt holes ontop of 3/16" and get them tight to springs.

The D50 upgrade is on my list also I’ve already snapped a the axle at that section just trying to get out of a off camber sand hill once one wheel hit the top, it popped.

LOTS going on the last 2 weeks!
got the motor pulled and the trans/tcase dropped off for upgrades
Rear fenders all mounted up
Spencer fabbed up some rock sliders for me! His welds are way better than mine.
Fresh meats - I chose BFG AT2 just based on the weight of the tire. really wanted a light tire. Fun fact these are 10-15lbs lighter than most other comparable options

Then dove headfirst into the wiring. Completely deleted the factory ECU, Cruise control, abs, etc and thinned out the engine bay harness. Planning to reuse/repurpose the factory fuse box and relays. With the deleted parts there are plenty of open circuits to do everything I need. Found a wiring master book on line that gave my work computer a virus haha. Holley Terminator X Maxx is the replacement ECU and trans controller. Have to do some fancy stuff to make it work on an E4OD, but should much better. Split open the Holley harness to add circuits for coil near plug and a few more wires needed on the transmission control.

Anyone Seen any nifty ways to reinforce the tire swing gate? I have a feeling its gonna try to rip it out of the tailgate...

Also gotta lower the rear bench somehow, headroom isnt ideal

@the_fablab_ did a bushing support off bottom to his bumper to keep it alive with the 37" tire hanging on it.

most people end up putting a swinger on the bumper as the factory mount tends to destroy itself over time with anything bigger than a 33" tire.

If you want to keep the factory mount/style, you could look at running tubes through the body and connect it to the cage. Then you can build a swinger with larger diameter tubing than the factory one.

Im less worried about the pivots (like you said i can punch into the cage). im more worried about destroying the tailgate as that seems like the weak link to me. I like the idea of tying into the bumper somehow with a rubber bushing, anyone have an example of how that would look?

Ah I misread what you were asking. @WW_RANGER_X had a similar issue with his Ranger and came up with something fancy, if I remember right.
