High output alternator? Help?

hey, i have a 2005 ford ranger fx4 with the 4.0 v6. I have quite a few accessories hooked up on my battery, Pa system, switch panel, pod lights, interior lights, and a subwoofer. Recently my truck just shut off while driving. I unplugged the pa thinking its pulling to many amps and it has yet to happen again. What should i do? Get a high out put alternator? is there a cheaper alternative? I still have more stuff to hook up, rock lights, chase lights etc, lmk thanks
