Engine cage tubes are progressing. Driver’s side clears wiper arm. The inner engine cage tube that ties into the windshield bar passes through the mounting bracket for the wiper motor. I will have to modify the passenger side wiper arm linkage. Computer will get relocated. The cross member just above and behind the hood latch on the core support was a challenge and took me around 3 hours.

Spare tire cross member chingadera. The austute reader will notice that Brent wrote the word “FUCK” with the chinee prasma cuttel. He is quite the sophisticate.

Late October 2018:

Front core support healthily welded to tube structure. Silicon bronzed to the sheet metal.

I was being all uppity at like 7AM and started TIG welding everything. Around noon I was like “JesusHChristAndDoggyStyleGapedMary, I don’t have time for this high-brow TIG shit, I am gonna be a dirty migger and get this shit done today!!!”

Silly silicon bronze cage-to-body welds:

Then I degraded myself with the mig welder. Welded to the floor and body mounts too...

More core support weld locations

And these plates (that will probably be the first to crack), but they are welded to an area that already has stock doubler plates at least...
