I have no idea if this is the right place to post Finnegan but here we are

My beloved Finnegan 4Runner is an 04 4Runner with a 4.7L V8 and full time 4x4 I love him so much! He’s been a good daily driver and adventure toy.

I’ll share our adventures and such here

When hubby comes home from work and asks if you wanna find snow…you say yes!

This is the state of the trail up the street from our house today. Not as much snow as we’d hoped, but still a fun little adventure. We love our trail!

Encountered quite the rain rut that almost ended the adventure but cross member made a good plow

Wow @84Prerunner I am so glad you asked. As a matter of fact, I DO have an update!

Spent half of spring break camping in Calico with the fam bam where I grew up camping. Had lots of fun beating up ol’ Finnegan 4Runner. I forgot how much rockier the terrain is out there vs our typical Barstow and Lucerne spots.

Did somewhere around 40-50 dirt miles across the 5 days.

At one point we were out and about and I thought to myself, “hmmm, self…It’s been bone dry here…why are there liquid dots all over the windshield?”

I pointed this out to the hubster and he seemed unconcerned.

I was like, “ummm it hasn’t rained and there are no trees around here to park under soooo wouldn’t it be something from the car?”

And he was all, “NoOo iTs tOo EvEnLy SpReAd aNd I cAn’t SmELL anYtHing”

So I let it go because he’s smarter than me.

But like 10 minutes later he was suddenly feeling like the steering was being weird. And then THERE WAS NO STEERING!!! So he popped the hood and whattya know…ATF ERRRRYYWHERREEE!!

So after a big TOLD YA SO we drove back to camp and he found a cute lil pinhole in a hose and fixed it.



I think he cut part of a hose from our bbq setup or something. Idk I was inside with the baby who decided he must yell 99% of the entire time inside the trailer because he demands to be outside off-roading. (The other 1% lacks yelling because he’s happy eating).
