Yeah that send cut send awfully proud of their stuff

Great for parts that need laser precision, especially for one off parts. The lead time killed me the last couple times I tried them once I numbed myself to sticker shock.

Yeah ive used them and osh cut for a couple thing since small qty and same proce delivered as just laser cutting locally. But yeah I've only use them if I need extra precise 1s or 2s

I
HAVE
THE
BEEEESSSTTTT
PAPA/FATHER/DADDY-O
EVEEEERRRRRR.

Today, I started using whatever brake cleaner I had at the house, to clean/scrub the trans & parts of the heads.

Then papa helped me/didmost of the work and pulled the motor from trans.

Now, we plan to remove/clean & scotchbrite scrub/new gaskets on the valve covers and the oil pan tomorrow, clean off/srub the heads/block and the rest of the motor, then put it all back together.

question............

when we pulled the trans from the motor, this rubber/gasket was torn halfway and i didnt know what to ask for at Oreilly. so i asked GhatGPT what it was and it said was:

it's a crankshaft rear main seal dust separator seal, otherwise called a block plate seal or a separator plate seal

Oreilly had no fucking idea what it was and they couldn't find anything in their computers. they showed the inspection cover and thats it.

do i need to get it from a dealer? or????

i'll try and call Willis after i post this and ask him.

i cleaned/scotchbrite'd the shit out of this "separator seal" thingy, and the gasket just crumpled away.
assuming i definetley need to get a new one of these considering this truck is mostly going to be in the dust/dirt and shit.
i dont really know shit about it and papa scratches his head as well................

i want someone to try and beat me with having a better dad.......... try me.

That is an engine block plate or separator plate seal. It’s supposedly keeps a leaking main seal from getting oil on the clutch.

You don’t deserve Papa Gort.

i have no pics as i wasn't here when he was working on shit, and its all put away and covered up now, but this comment by the Almighty from up above rings true still..................

installed the pan, and started connecting the trans motor back together. need to finish connecting those 2 mom pieces together, then we can set it back in where I want to mount it, and get all that mother stuff figured out.
