2Ghetto The Rusty Trombone

Oh... and for anyone wondering... while it seems kind of exposed, it is not the lowest part of truck by any means. Here is a staight edge across the pivot brackets. Even if I bash the shit out of it.... 61.99 and two cuts will make a new one! LOL

Didn’t your old lesbian neighbor narc on you for painting your truck in the yard? I remember some regulatory person showing up and basically telling you it was legal?

Do you remember the rules/regulations?

why not run a tube from pivot to pivot and get the plastic sliders on it like the have for the utv's? i heard if you send them your part, the will custm make them. i have considered doing my rear links

maybe on G4... but not worried about it for this old gurl.

I have thought about just bracing up pivot points... but again, planned to do it on G4 first.

Just made me think though... is it better to brace upper link pivots to the radius arm pivots(make x between them.....) or the lower pivots. I feel like the uppers see a ton of force.

Or figure out how to brace it between all those pivots???

upper link pivots should see more force... they are taking all the side to side loading, as well as the rotational force of the rear end pushing and pulling on those mounts. typically why upper heims wear out faster.

Updates... new ugly exhaust is soooo much nicer in cab... totally worth it. Can actually talk in cab on highway.
New Baja Designs light. Why the fuck did i even stick a chinese light on it. Sooo worth it as well. Can see for days now.

Did another "250" miles in Ocotillo Wells. Then it finally happened.... at the furthest point away from camp of course. Jumped the "noah" double jump in superstition and popped second gear in the big sand berm when it g'd out in the whoops at bottom. Right at sunset too. DOH!

Snapped this pic a few minutes before the big boom shaka lakka. Was able to get the toddler OK with some decent speeds on poleline closer to superstition.

Was pretty nervous but was able to make it all the way from superstition back to camp with ole lady and kid on new years eve. Getting stranded woulda sucked that far from camp. Thankfuly made it ... so old Trusty Rusty pulled through again.

Started trans rebuild, cuz I know a guy that has done a few. LOL. And that's what i get for not taking time to do exhaust correctly. Immediately had to cut those bolts off to get it apart. Blind werld was surprisingly good tho! hahaha

Parts on order for 2nd gear and cluster shaft now.

did some "shopping" at the Blu Inn. Talked to dude with the Speed UTV for a while. He didn't seem all too impressed with it. Chassis looked pretty good to me though...
