Dumping all that sway bar load into the pinch bolts right next to the heim threads worries me a smidge. Almost as much as your turbo spacer that has a melting point of about 1100F.
Love the innovation and use of off the shelf shit. It took me a minute to think thru the swaybar scheme and convince myself it wasn’t overconstrained
i give it a 7.5/10 over all. time to get some data on how much it helps too
fucked up my datum on one. they are 1/4" different in overall length
ill see if she rides level or make another one to compensate for it
how about those nice alloy Cadillac front calipers on the rear!?!?
Looks cool! My only other concern is the bar needs to be able to twist in the mounts, which is why they are mounted in urethane from the manufacturer. Maybe the strap will let it?
i imagine it will wiggle some it is has enough force.
being that it is pretty much a part of the trailing arm there is not real rotating need for a bushing
if the bar was mounted to the axle tube then i would have needed some better bushing solution
the shorter trailing arms provide some scissoring degrees. longer ones would have much less.
i measure about 6" raise/fall in the wheel well right on the axle center line with no bar
with the bar is about 2". this is full turn in a parking lot. driving it has a little more "push" in the sway.
i would say it got rid of about 70% of what it had
still a little bit more than a factory car but really got rid of the ridiculous portion!
intercooler take 2!
the foot pedal is getting real bad on the harbor freight tig. it has about 3-4 settings at random positions in its sweep. lol fuck my life.....
well everything is working real well and the aluminum third member seems to be pissed about it. there is a nice crack leaking oil out the bottom. time for an iron unit....
super charger never broke nuthin!
