Did more wheeling last weekend. Wife drove the whole trail herself since I was busy spotting others.

What material are those made out of? I'm going to be making skids for a buddy's 2024 Colorado and figured 1/4" for under the motor and 3/16" for the rest. Also, how is the tail end supported around the gas tank?

Fuel skid is 1/4” aluminum. It replaces the OEM straps with heavy duty brackets. Hard to see in the pic but it bolts to one really close to the rear of the tank.
