KC vs Baja Designs. I have the advantage because I technically have more lights, but I truly feel the KCs color just looks so much better. I know I’m biased because I’ve been a KC guy all my life but I do like the orange amber vs the yellow. Thoughts?

I can't figure out how to post a video on here from YouTube directly. Someone school me.

I didn’t have many options of making the RTT more secure on top of the rack, but I think what I did will be much better than before. The tent used to sit on two pieces of 1”x1” square slotted aluminum tubing, pretty standard. The round tube mounts connected to the square aluminum tubing which then connected to the tent floor. Way too many moving parts to keep secure with cheap hardware so I just deleted the aluminum square pieces and put the floor of the tent directly onto the metal tubing and attached it using the Wheel Every Weekend tube clamps. The WEW clamps only come in a set of 4, so this morning I ordered another set so I’ll have the tent connected to each cross tube, with 2 extras just in case. I also replaced all hardware with 5/16” grade 8 bolts and fat/wide fender washers. One thing I didn’t take into consideration is the floor of this particular tent is about 1” think which is filled with insulation, so I could only tighten it down so much. Also, taking those aluminum square tubing pieces out completely ruins any chance of putting this tent on any other rack lol so it’ll be a hard sell if I ever want to get rid of it later on.

You should get some 1/8" plate and cut it in like a 6x6 square with two holes spaced to match the WEW brackets. That way you spread the load across more area and can tighten it down more without smashing the foam. I can cut them out for you if you need.
